Terraced Cottage Garden

My pink hydrangea has never looked as good as it does this year. The hot/windy/rainy weather of last week didn't hurt either of my hydrangeas as they are sheltered under my side deck. It gets so hot here in the summers that they need to be sheltered, but boy, I would just love to be able to see them out my kitchen or front windows!

Hydrangeas are native to southern and eastern Asia. Find this cultivar, 'Mariesii Perfecta', flowering in Kew's Japanese Landscape.

This is leftover from last spring. Funny I didn't like the composition then, but now I do. Go figure.

Only used one texture, from Kim Klassen, #1 from the Ben Collection. This shot just doesn't need a lot of texture. Everytime I put one on, it seemed to cover up its beauty. So I just used one. I'm happy with the result.

The 'Momo' is a Japanese word for "peach", but what I saw was not pink. It was blue.

Hydrangeas seem to be very popular with my customer's. Very understandable since I love the flower myself :).
