Hydrangeas are popular garden shrubs with delicate heads of flowers in shades of pink, white or blue and pretty autumn colour and leaf shape. The mophead and lace-cap hydrangeas are most well-known for their ability to change colour in different soils.
I never tire of seeing or photographing these beauties. It grows everywhere here and is incredibly beautiful at every stage of its life.
Hydrangea is derived from Greek and means ‘water vessel’ which is in reference to the shape of its seed capsules.
January 7, 2016: Due to the warm weather as of late, I've got a few dying hydrangeas that still have some color in them. I took a photos, but it wasn't up to snuff, so I placed it into PhotoScape until I got a look I liked.
I'm just going to have fun this Project 365 366.

Freshly opened Hydrangea bud. This bush grows outside my kitchen window and I love watching the buds form and open. Hopefully Spring is not too far away.

I saw this kind of hydrangea at my contact's photostream and found it very pretty. I wanted to see them by myself. I found it the other day at very close neighboor's yard.
The flower color changes from white to red in a short period.
This is called Kurenai which is a name of one kind of red colors.
There are many hydrangeas blooming here . I realized I have less oportunities to take photos since it is in rainy season now. So I try to go out when it is not raining.
I discovered this oak leaf hydrangea nearby, I googled it but am confused by its variegated leaf colour. This is supposed to occur in the Autumn months, not in the Spring, but could not find a cultivar which matched this happening earlier in the summer.
