January 7, 2016: Due to the warm weather as of late, I've got a few dying hydrangeas that still have some color in them. I took a photos, but it wasn't up to snuff, so I placed it into PhotoScape until I got a look I liked.

I'm just going to have fun this Project 365 366.

I never tire of seeing or photographing these beauties. It grows everywhere here and is incredibly beautiful at every stage of its life.

Hydrangea is derived from Greek and means ‘water vessel’ which is in reference to the shape of its seed capsules.

Forget the name on this one. It is about 15 feet right now and growing. The blossom's are filling in and I will try to get a shot from the roof since it is close to full bloom.

Hydrangea arborescens Annabelle.

In most species of Hydrangea the flowers are white, but in some species, can be blue, red, pink, or purple. In Hydrangea species the exact color often depends upon the acidity or alkalinity of the soil. Acidic soils produce blue flowers, neutral soils produce pale cream petals, and alkaline soils result in pink or purple. www.theflowerexpert.com

A casual closeup / macro to my pink hydrangeas which are in full bloom (late July), so long may they last.

I love this stage when it starts turning from white to this subtle dusty rose color.

I discovered this oak leaf hydrangea nearby, I googled it but am confused by its variegated leaf colour. This is supposed to occur in the Autumn months, not in the Spring, but could not find a cultivar which matched this happening earlier in the summer.
