Clothesline is suspended from beneath a balcony, to provide coverage over the clothes and protect from the weather and rain. Wires are knotted around metal rod attachments that have been built into the wall. Socks are clipped onto a plastic mobile contraption, and clothes are aired out on coat hangers. The location of the windows and the 'balcony' created by the shop underneath would probably enable residents to step out onto the platform to hang and collect their washing, as part of their regular or daily routine.

One of the world's most famous skylines, although a lot of the super tall buildings in Central aren't visible here as it's mainly Admiralty on down to Causeway Bay in this photograph.
Hung Hom Station, Hong Kong
- it's my favorite station in Hong Kong, lots of glass windows, never feels overcrowded and has an airport feel to it.

The 31st March was the last day of Hong Kong's Star Ferry service to Hung Hom. The contract had come to an end and, owing to declining passenger numbers, no company was willing to operate it.
Ironically the final days ferries were packed with everyone taking their final opportunity to ride on the iconic journey - including me!
