while visiting w/ a friend, couldn't help but note a number of hummers attracted to their feeders. So, I asked permission to try to capture a few photos. here are my results.
Hum je poznat kao najmanji grad na svijetu (godine 2001.bilo je 17 stanovnika). Povijest Huma seže u rani srednji vijek. Grad je potpuno okružen zidinama i nije bilo mnogo gradnje izvan njih.
Hum is known as the smallest town in the world (in 2001 population was 17). Hum’s history starts in the earl medieval age. The town is completely surrounded with old walls and there was not much construction outside of them.

I don't see these very often but I was lucky enough to be sat in the garden yesterday with my camera and one came along. This was thebest shot of many !!! I would have liked the wings not to have been blurred but boy, do they beat at a fast rate !!
Female ruby-throated hummingbird. More often than not I'm not advantaged sufficiently to zero in on one sitting still; but this time was the exception!

Taken on the shore of Lake Ontario (New York state). The wind kept ruffling his tiny feathers that he spent a great deal of time preening. :)
The H3 was the smallest Hummer built between 2005 and the end of the Hummer brand in 2010. The H3 was based on the Chevrolet Colorado platform. Soon there will be a new Hummer, this time as an electric pickup model from GMC.
While doing multiflash with hummers I quickly changed my R5 to do 120fps video at the click of one button.

The Hummers have arrived and are busy darting about from flower to flower...I got excited and had to take a pic-will try to get something clearer later! :-)
All the Hummers are gone and same with my Pentax gear for wildlife photography. I hope I made the right decision but then again gear is just gear.
Working on my backyard hummers. Today was the first sunny day in a lot of heavy cloudy rainless ones. This bird cooperated somewhat by hanging near the feeder, but the feeder was in the shade. Thus the challenge - we ALL know sunlight is everything to get the hummer's iridescence. So, color here pretty much provided by the high-speed flash sync. And the yellow on its beak? I'd say "leftovers" from having its head in a real flower.
