"My biggest struggle at this moment is not having a picture of how things work in life. While years have been passing, I was making a lot of effort to learn all I could, but instead of getting confident with my knowledge, from one day to another, I was shocked of how wrong I had been a day earlier.
"I also had many realisations about myself, always thought I was a good person, at some moments I knew it wasn't entirely true, but now I am almost sure that I've psychologically traumatised my younger brother by being a selfish asshole and humiliating him in public back when we were kids.
"There many other things which changed completely in my eyes. So I got this insight now that no matter what I think, most likely I am going to realise later that I was wrong. It leads to a very annoying problem: whenever I say something, I am not sure whether I am being smart or stupid, overly negative or too positive, naive or skeptical, or did I just say it because I was jealous or angry.
Am I truly being myself or just a reflection of this moment's atmosphere or some event in my past?
"It's not that I don't guess what another person is going to think about me, it's all about what kind of judgement I'll give myself later, thinking "damn, why did I even say this".
"I find it pretty unreasonable to give a message to the world. At first I wanted to say, let's all be more caring about each other's comfort and happiness, to make it a better place to live, but I've immediately caught myself that it's me who needs this antistress comfort and to rest and that's the only reason I'm saying it. And in general, when a person passes a message like that, it says more about the person's personal issues than an actual advice.
"Anyway, asking people to be better is wrong, they might come to this on their own, or not. On the other hand, with a bit of patience and willpower, I can become a better person myself."

Worst day ever. I've never felt so humiliated in my life. Today was mime day for ITS induction week. I feel like I've told this story a million times to everybody who has asked, but my school is populated with assholes. The entire day was full of being pointed and laughed at, being screamed at, being laughed at in my face, people preforming tricks by me and expecting me to do them, and just overall such disrespect. Gotta love the fact that people were looking at me like I had a flesh-eating disease.
But ahhh, I don't know what I would do it Tariq and I weren't best friends. Like, seriously. He spent all fifth period trying to poke himself and get blood so that he could sign the contract of "watching Ryan Gosling movies if Kristy Gaunt speaks" since I wasn't allowed to talk during mime day. And he did so. :) Gross, but hahahaha, IT WAS WRITTEN IN BLOOD!
Volunteered for the first day at the thrift store today, too. It's quiet, and I mostly work by myself. It's perfect.
Pierre de Wiessant, Monumental Nude (Pierre de Wissant, nu monumental)
In the wake of its humiliating defeat at the hands of Prussia in 1870, the French Third Republic sought to reinvigorate notions of heroism and citizenship. To this end, in 1884 the city council of Calais commissioned Rodin to create a monument to Eustache de Saint-Pierre. In 1347, while Calais was under siege by the English, Eustache and five other important citizens of the town had offered themselves as hostages, pleading for mercy for their long-suffering city.
In his first maquette of 1884, Rodin proposed a conventional monument, with his figures united as a group on a tall pedestal. By the following year, however, the six figures were placed on a low rectangular plinth, at the same level as the viewer. As Rodin later wrote: "I wanted to have my statues placed in front of the Calais city hall on the very paving of the square like a living rosary of suffering and sacrifice."
Rodin first made nude figure studies, which he then draped in wet canvas to model the sackcloth worn by the burghers when they surrendered. To create the expressive figures possible, he used the radical technique of combining studies of hands and feet from different figures. Creating the very antithesis of conventional heroic sculpture, Rodin here set out the terms of a modern, anti-monumental tradition that resonates to this day.

The Ancient and Honorable Order of E Clampus Vitus (ECV) is a fraternal organization dedicated to the study and preservation of Western heritage, especially the history of the Mother Lode and gold mining regions of the area. The fraternity is not sure if it is a "historical drinking society" or a "drinking historical society." There are chapters in California, Nevada and other western states. Members call themselves "Clampers." The organization's name is in Dog Latin, and has no known meaning; even the spelling is disputed, sometimes appearing as "Clampus", "Clampsus", or "Clampsis". The motto of the Order, Credo Quia Absurdum, is generally understood as meaning "I believe it because it is absurd."; the proper Latin quotation Credo quia absurdum est, is from the Christian apologist Tertullian (140-230), who rejected rationalism and accepted a Gospel which addressed itself to the "non-rational levels of perception."
By tradition, a man can only become a Clamper by invitation. However, one can express his desire to join. Initiation rites are sometimes spur-of-the-moment, such as forcing a blindfolded candidate to be lifted into the air by a block and tackle. Other times, the blindfolded initiate is seated upon a wet sponge in a wheelbarrow, and taken upon the "Rocky Road to Dublin" (a ladder lying on the ground). The initiations are secret and vary greatly in execution and severity. Once he has been asked to answer several questions, the Scales of Darkness (the blindfold) are removed, the new member "sees the light", is handed the Staff of Relief, is presented the Stone of Enigma, and appointed Chairman of the Most Important Committee. Afterward everyone toasts the new member with drink. Once enlightened,a brother is a brother for life.
Monday - humiliation, Tuesday - suffocation,
Wednesday - condescension, Thursday - is pathetic
By Friday life has killed me, By Friday life has killed me,
Oh pretty one, Oh pretty one
Why did you give me so much desire,
When there is nowhere I can go to offload this desire?
And why did you give me so much love in a loveless world,
When there is no one I can turn to
To unlock all this love?
And why did you stick in self deprecating bones and skin?
Jesus do you hate me?
Why did you stick in self deprecating bones and skin?
Do you hate me?
Do you hate me?
Do you hate me?
Do you hate me?
Do you hate me?

Begun in 1176 and completed in the 14th century, the church belongs to the order of Humiliates. The front’s features and the typical use of bricks indicates a clear commistion between Gothic and Romanesque Lombard elements.
