Students are getting to work on their Human Ecology Class projects. This semester we have a wide variety of projects going on such as film advocacy, star charting, soap making, trailblazing, dive platform construction, up-cycling, and more.
“Life, although it may only be an accumulation of anguish, is dear to me, and I will defend it.”
I’ve been trying to make something for over a week now, but have been battling with the sun. Yesterday, at last, the dark clouds came rumbling in and I was able to make something weird. It’s wonderful to be able to return to my roots; grabbing my camera and dragging myself through some woodland or fields and just make stuff. Gotta keep making stuff.

I had to do crazy contortions on the floor to get my feet against the black paper hung from the edge of my bed. I had the camera upside down on the floor, while I twisted myself into an L-shape so that my feet would be positioned at a more natural-LOOKING angle ... trust me it did not feel natural at all.
Hmmm, I notice that my toenails are rather rough and I haven't been moisturising my feet for years. I hope it all adds texture and interest.

My brother is the worst wardrobe remix photographer. Truly terrible. Oh well - here's what I wore yesterday, to do 6 hours of improv, debate about existentialism, busk for 2 hours, go on a 3-way date, & nap in the library.

Human Nature is a series I took at the Bavarian Flickr Meet Up this summer. It pictures everyone who has been there with some pieces of nature on their face, combining the beauty of nature and human.
Thank you everyone for modeling and allowing me to glue flowers and leaves on your faces <3
I am not into photojournalism but I will give it a stab. I will be posting pics of actual human remains from my home community. I am an Ojibway and the remains you will see are my ancestors. Back in the 1930's, Ontario Hydro and the Federal Government built a dam and then flooded our lands. more to come with each picture.
This is what I wore to the Feminist Porn Conference today. It was a full day of taking notes on intelligent discourse and feeling utterly starstruck from seeing my favorite performers in person!

Sally in her adorable glasses I found on ebay!! They are soooo cute! Vintage dress/shirt from antique store. And because I'm a silly girl trying to make a fun photo, I used red plastic ammo from my boys' airsoft guns WHICH he spilled all over our sidewalk.
Do you think it adds to the photo? I like it. I'm a big fan of the color red! ;0)
