Shot on one of the game preserves in the Cradle of Humankind, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This little lion cub was part of a pride of four, lounging on the rocks, but clearly the "leader of the pack" as he had the top of the rock. Shot with a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W50.

Have you met Jesus? Everyone who claims to have met Jesus claims that Jesus is exactly like them. Jesus thinks like them, talks like them, loves whomever they love, hates whomever they hate, justifies warfare against their enemies, justifies greed on behalf of their own wealth, promises Heaven to everyone who agrees and threatens Hell against everyone who disagrees.

Poor Jesus, how sad it must be to observe how billions of humans have corrupted your message on their own behalf!

Where is the truth in the religious world? Nowhere.

Where is the truth in the non-religious world? Nowhere.

Why is this world filled with so much hatred, violence, warfare and sorrow? Because human nature is intrinsically flawed, as fatally flawed as the Space Shuttle.

Is there no hope? There is no hope whatsoever for humankind. No eternity on the Earth, no eternity conquering space and no eternity in Heaven.

What of God then? It doesn't make the least bit of difference. People who believe and those who disbelieve can insult each other forever but in the end neither theism nor atheism can solve humankind's problems.

Who, then, is good? The non-human animals are good. The plants are good. Nature is good. The sun is good. The Universe is good.

What of humankind, then? Humankind was a lost cause 12,000 years ago when agriculture was invented. All subsequent inventions have only served to make humankind more powerful and more terrible.

Even if Jesus could return to the Earth Jesus never would.

Humankind cannot stand very much reality. T. S. Eliot

"Humankind has not woven the web of life.

We are but one thread within it.

Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves.

All things are bound together.

All things connect.(are spiritual)"
