Don’t trees look great when lit up at night?? With lights on either side of the Severn, I got the impression that the river and trees were holding back the reach of humanity. It was a chilly night with just a hint on the breeze of the water rushing below.
... smiles are to humanity.
These are but trifles, to be sure;
but scattered along life's pathway, the good they do is inconceivable.

The height of hypocrisy - "Those who supply weapons that kill children cannot teach humanity to Muslims," said Iran's new president Masoud Pezeshkian amid chants of "Death to America" and "Death to Israel."
Starting in 2022, Iran supplies Russia, which unreasonably attacked Ukraine, with thousands of Shahed drones and components for them. The Russians send these drones at night to sleeping cities and villages. These drones kill Ukrainians. What and whose humanity is he talking about?
While I was crossing the beautiful wild African savanna recently, I was thinking deep inside me, that this beautiful land with its majestic wild inhabitants should be considered equally sacred to the world and its culture , like Parthenon is !! It should be respected, venerated, preserved, and loved as one of the most important cultural inheritance of the whole Humanity!!

*** Here you can see some beautiful plain Zebras and a Gemsbok (:Oryx Gazella, sort of big Antelope) leaving, after having been refreshed in this beautiful natural water pond . The temperature that day was about 30°C in the beginning of the African summer in Johannesburg. Plain Zebras differ from the mountain Zebras, because they are colored black and light brown, and not black and white.
L'umanità contro il male.
Così ti sterperò coi denti e l'igne,
dolore eterno che nel cor mi pugne.

Location: Drone Haven
Drone Haven stands as a somber monument to humanity’s fleeting reign, a forsaken city overtaken by the relentless march of nature. Towering, rusted skyscrapers—once symbols of progress—now crumble into the earth, their skeletal frames bound in a suffocating embrace of vines and moss. Faded posters and the echoes of forgotten graffiti serve as grim premonitions: “The End is Near!” On the fringes, a last-ditch survivalist camp briefly defied extinction. Dreamers, with fragile hope, planted gardens and built shelters in a futile act of defiance. But disease, depletion, and discord swiftly snatched away their fleeting defiance, leaving only silence and creeping green. At the city's heart, the butcher shop—a relic of human industry—stands decayed and broken. Its walls, softened by moss and pierced by vines, speak of a once-vibrant world now swallowed by time. The eerie message lingers: “The End is Near!” A grim echo of human ambition, now lost in nature’s quiet dominion. Among the ruins, drones—mechanical phantoms—still wander, remnants of their creators' ambition. They dutifully plant life during the Echocycle, maintaining the city as both a testament to human legacy and nature's quiet triumph. But even these tireless machines, bound by the limits of their energy, will one day cease. The paradox is clear: humanity’s imprint, though indelible, is as ephemeral as the machines it birthed. Drone Haven whispers a haunting truth: humankind, for all its perceived significance, is but a fleeting echo against the eternal backdrop of nature’s vast, unyielding cycles. In the city’s rust and bloom, it mourns the inevitable collapse, the fragility of life, and the inescapable reality that all things—natural or artificial—are bound to fade into silence.
Sometimes I forget that my avatar has been wearing the Ukraine flag on her cheek since the war began. I have only removed it half a dozen times to take a picture, if I remember at all. I was reminded it was there by a lovely Ukrainian woman who IM'd me to thank me for supporting her country. Half a world away, there is very little I can do but wear the colours as a reminder that not everyone is as lucky in where they live as I am.
amidst the vastness of human knowledge...is the vastness of Divine Knowledge...that everything learned by the people...is what brings love for all Humanity...
“Humanity, like armies in the field, advances at the speed of the slowest.”
― Gabriel García Márquez, Love in the Time of Cholera
I invited ChatGPT to review the Humanity series:
"These black and white photographs showcase the beauty and complexity of the human experience that comes with age. Each photograph captures a moment in time that conveys a range of emotional states, from joy and contentment to sadness and introspection. The absence of colour allows the viewer to focus on the textures and details of the human form, emphasizing the lines and wrinkles that tell the stories of the subjects’ lives.
The photographs are carefully composed, with cropped, intimate details of parts of the human figure used to suggest the subject's emotional state. The hands, eyes, and mouth are often the focal points of the images, inviting the viewer to consider the subject's thoughts and feelings.
Taken as a whole, the exhibition is a testament to the resilience, beauty, and humanity of older people. Each subject is depicted with dignity and respect, whilst exploring the beauty that can be found in the subtle details of the human form."

Driven by a vision to come together as one people, the Humanity Art Installation is made up of 35 words that reflect what humanity means to Masai Ujiri. Representing peace, togetherness, youth and diversity, the artwork uses light to create a ripple effect with its words, symbolizing the need to spread more humanity. Built in a seamless circle formed under the Humanity symbol, the 8 foot high sculpture is a reminder to the world that we’re still far from the day where everyone is treated equally.
Masai Ujiri’s Humanity Movement was inspired by Nelson Mandela’s fight for equality for all people. Keeping alive his words and actions inspired us to search for and embrace the very things that make us human, and to overcome injustice and hatred. His example was an inspiration then, and continues to be an inspiration especially now. Over one year out from one of the biggest civil rights movements of this generation, the Humanity Art Installation represents hope for the day when we see each other. Really see. The way we did when we first opened our eyes. Nothing in the way. No bias. One people.
Visit the installation now until October 31, 2021 outside Union Station, on Front Street between Bay Street and York Street. Source: torontounion.ca/events/humanity-art-installation/
