Human scale is lost on this large, empty square in the middle of Rotterdam
Polycarve, then fibreglassed for a working model of a degenarative bone repair technique. Work produced for and @ Specialist Models Cardiff.
For my final shot I decided to do a triple exposure. the blue on the left side of the image represents sadness, the yellowish one int he middle represents happiness and the red on the right represents anger. I see this picture and it reminds me that many people might seem happy on the outside but on the inside they might be about to burst from their emotions.

More of the human cockroaches. In this area of Shanghai, garbage bins are placed in the rear of bldgs, which are then collected and dumped into alleys. People like this guy shown then pick thru the garbage. This guy was picking anything that had meat on it, and placing it onto a plate. I did not ask him why: and I hope not for human consumption. But others re-use wasted cooking oil for human consumption, so one cannot be sure how this guy re-used the wasted meats. 2011

The human nest portrays the desire for both freedom and security.
The interior of my nest is soft and comfortable. The textures are diverse, and the colours are muted.
The exterior is made of pointy sticks and covered in barbwire vines in poisonous colours.
It is harsh and dangerous but also exciting compared to the comfortable but dull interior; depicting both the desire to leave and to stay.
