Friends of Trees and Hoyt Arboretum organized an attempt to break the Guinness Book of World Records record for the Largest Tree Hug: largest gathering of people hugging trees.
The current record is 702; however, a group in Minnesota has submitted an attempt with 935, so they were aiming to beat that. Going by the count of people who signed in and got wristbands, we did it, but they will be checking the details. Each group had a Steward who had 1 minute to run around and video everyone in their group in the act of hugging. Presumably, the videos must be reviewed and counted.
