Several people have asked how to do this... I had to do it again to remember just what I did...
Started out in LR4 with the following shot: www.flickr.com/photos/pancamo/7382144392/
Then
1. Right click and EDIT in CS5
2. Image->Mode->8Bit
3. Filter -> Artistic -> Plastic Wrap
5. Save (back to LR4)
6. In Develop Mode set the Set the exposure to -5 (making the image almost completely dark)
6. Use the Adjustment Brush (with a positive exposure) to "paint the light" back in...
Im no artist, so my light is all wrong im sure... But I just play with it till i like it....
Enjoy...
Layers of merino are added and needle felted slightly to keep in place, you don't want too much fine detail at this stage as it will move a little as you begin to wet felt.

There are three series: 1) normal photos, 2) Long exposure photos (depending on the delay movements disappear or show distortions) and 3) selective focus, which is made possible by the adjustability of the technical camera.

With the rod and wood pieces unmoving, screw the rod clamp screws back in place. Now the rod is dialed in to make the stop really mean 0" when it's at the 0" mark.
Let's make cards issue 55 papercrafting challenge - advent calendar
Stack all the envelopes in the gap between the two sections, and it's ready to go!
Make a hole punch template so you place holes in the cards in the exact same spot each time. The width is the height of the smallest card. Mark the middle of the card & label, then mark 1/2" from either edge. Then mark 1" toward the center from that 1/2" mark. Number these 4 lines 1-4, as in the photo.
See? 12".
I later switched the blade from a rip (26 teeth) to a finish (90 teeth), and the cut quality got amazing. The ends look like finished plastic now. I may never use a ripping blade again. This is the old rip cut, clocking in at 12". It seems just shy of it to me, but again, all of this can be dialed in to very high tolerances. At this point, the tape measure may not even be the best judge, if the end piece is loose.
I've removed the stop temporarily here, as it was in the way of this long piece of wood. What I'm doing here is holding the wood down very firmly, and removing the end. I won't move the large piece left on the saw. It needs to stay tightly in place.
The foam insulator is cheap and compresses nicely. It is cut into quarters and then duct-taped to the sides of the PVC pipe to provide the 'blade'.
You can either measure your chair before purchasing your fabric, or just drape your fabric over the chair to make sure you have enough.
