Esztergom was the capital of Hungary from the 10th till the mid-13th and it is the seat of the prímás of the Roman Catholic Church in Hungary. Its cathedral, Esztergom Basilica, is the largest church in Hungary.
Esztergom, von vielen das Rom des Nordens genannt, war vom 10. bis 13. Jh. die Hauptstadt Ungarns. Bis heute ist es Sitz der Kath. Kirche Ungarns und die weit sichtbare Basilika ist die grösste Kirche des Landes.

After 2641 km on the unicycle, I have reached Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Matthias Chuch and Chain Bridge connecting Buda with Pest are among the many top sights to visit.
Auf meiner Einradtour habe ich nach 2641 km Budapest erreicht. Die Kettenbrücke verbindet die Stadtteile Buda und Pest der Ungarischen Hauptstadt mit ihren zahlreichen Sehenswürdigkeiten.

The inevitable suffering for getting enlighted - ha ha
Saddle soaring after 4036 km on the Unicycle; however this feels still much better then suffering on an office chair (and even the one at the corner office lol).
Die unumgänglichen Leiden auf dem Weg zur Erleuchtung.
Als Folge der langen Etappen bei grosser Hitze stellen sich nun bei Km 4036 auch noch Sitzbeschwerden ein. Dies ist trotzdem weit besser als auf einem Bürostuhl oder einem Chefsessel zu leiden - ha ha.

France has some of the finest bike routes I have ever seen. They often follow the tow paths along the canals formerly used by horses to pull the boats (before they had engines). Slow traffic is quickly growing and sustainable tourism became a significant economic factor along my route. There are so many traffic free bike routes or small roads shared by slow and regular traffic.
Dieser Radweg quer durch Frankreich ist etwas vom Feinsten das ich je gesehen habe. Er benützt oft ehemalige Treidelpfade entlang den Kanälen auf denen früher die Pferde die Boote zogen. Die Radwege sind meistens verkehrsfrei oder benützen verkehrsarme Strassen (fair share signalisiert). Slow traffic und nachhaltiger Tourismus sind, entlang meiner Route, zu einem bedeutenden Wirtschaftsfaktor geworden.

Completely overwhelmed, I have reached the BLACK SEA after pedalling 4171 km from the ATLANTIC across Europe on my UNICYCLE!
Difficult to hold back some tears because of the pain and emotions.
I am deeply GREATFUL and HAPPY for this once in a lifetime experience that I will never forget.

Leaving Hamburg towards the North Sea with still 132 km to go, usually against the wind. Big vessels heading up the river Elbe to the port of Hamburg. The Museum Port is also worth a visit.
Ab Hamburg sind es immer noch 132 km bis zur Nordsee. Enormer Schiffsverkehr auf der Elbe zum Hafen Hamburg. Auch der Museumshafen ist ein Besuch wert.
