When stitching the backpack strap back together, the cables should all be on the upper side of the backpack strap for shoulder comfort.
Not related to the boost gauge install, but good to know. The 'early' models had a "B" fuel pump, but it's been superseded to this part number.
Stack all three layers on top of each other, with the right sides facing. Then sew around the rectangle with a 1/4" inseam. Snip all four corners off.
This was particularly relvant to me, as my back wheel was recently stolen in broad daylight.
The quick release let soemone remove my wheel without using any tools. I don't need quick release on my rear wheel, so I think I'll secure it using a fastener.
I needed a way to hold this bongo together while the glue dried. First I tried rubber bands, but they didn't hold tight enough.
Wire ties did the trick. You can thread multiple ties together to make any length that you want.
And if you're frugal, you can reuse them. Insert a small screwdriver into the back side of the block to release the catch.
Since we were dumb and decided to use plywood for the frame as well as the bottom, we decided we would add a little bit of trip to keep it from splintering. We used a brad gun and some glue to make sure it would not go anywhere.
Thread the covered button onto the needle, and then push the needle back through the front of the fabric. Remember to leave a 4" tail of thread on the wrong side of the headboard.
Step 0: Materials
Bamboo wooden dowels (the kind you use for shish kebabs), Circular mirrors of assorted sizes (one larger than the rest), Silver spray paint, Hot glue gun, and/or duct tape
Step 1: Spray paint the wooden dowels silver
Spray paint one side of the dowels, flip over, spray paint the other side, let dry.
Step 2: Hot glue & duct tape dowels to the back of the large mirror
This step is sort of hodge-podge. Just use whatever you have at hand to ensure that the dowels stick to the back of the mirror. I used mostly hot glue, reinforced with duct tape.
Step 3: Flip mirror over to the "right side" and attach smaller mirrors to dowels with hot glue
Step 4: Hang your new starburst mirror on the wall, you're done!
I like to secure my mirror with some double-sided tape on the back, and a wire nail at the bottom of the mirror.
Here is the finished product after I added some exterior latex enamel. This should help with preserving the wood should it ever get wet and it adds a nice touch to the set.
There are 4 of these. Most of the time they stay stuck on the mounts instead of the engine cover. If you re-install them on the engine cover and then lube them -- the cover goes on and off a LOT easier.
Notice how the bottom argyle repeat only has thirty rows, since it's being stacked vertically ("on top" of) on the original argyle square.

Aha, they're starting to crisp up. Give them one more minute; it might be enough, depending on your microwave.
You're going to nuke them until they're petrified. Try not to let the pieces touch too much; you'll need to separate them later. Two hot dogs just about fill up a dinner plate.
For best results, feed the ends to your dog as you're making the treats, and keep telling him how amazingly good they're going to be. The secret ingredients are 1) love and 2) salesmanship.
