Hilltop Hotspring is one of the most popular springs in the area because it is right off the main road. Pictured here is the nice view you get while walking down to the tub. We did not get to soak in it this time around because it was already taken at the time, but it is definitely one to check out. Just look at those snow covered mountain views. Mudpots are at the top of a hill... The climb up sucks... Older people may have trouble getting up...
The mud is bright white... I'm guessing late afternoon is best light for texture/ shadows... I'll know next time to visit early morn or at sunset...

Almost like a city pool but not. This hotspring pool has a low rock wall, open to the sky with a concrete pad around and even some wooden benches. It doesn't see much use in the winter as not many visit this remote area. Some years the road is blocked by snow in the winter.
Mike meets with a group of young people on August 11 at the Hot Springs Boys & Girls Club. The facility was one of the worksites in Garland County which employed area youths during the WIA Summer Youth Program. The funding for the youth jobs came from the Department of Labor through the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) allotment from the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act.
