We soaked at Matsao hotspring. It might not be the same one mentioned in Lonely Planet though, 'cos it didn't match the description at all. It was pretty bare, but quite interesting to watch the locals do their hotspringing.
We got to see the saggy tummies and backsides of some of our older fellow bathers. One young lady was busy alternately hopping in the 40 degree Celcius water and scrapping her skin red with what looked like a smooth piece of shell. Ouch.

This might be one of my favorite buildings in Hot Springs - the old Medical Arts Building - a 16 story Art Deco building built in 1929...
