My 'Hot Pink' azalea image. Photographed in the late afternoon sun at the Campbell Rhododendron Gardens, at Blackheath, in the Blue Mountains - on Sunday 4th October, 2020.
This was the very last of the sun filtering through the tall eucalyptus trees that provide a canopy of shade for these 'cool climate' gardens of azaleas and rhododendrons.

Late evening on hot and humid August evening in Nebraska. Warnings popped up about an hour before this storm was even visible to the eye over the horizon at sunset.
Spectacular Colors emitting from this stacked supercell. Cloud to Cloud Lightning shooting off every few seconds made this a storm chasers dreamscape.
Gear in hand that evening I traveled north out of Odessa Nebraska. Now about 2 miles to the east of Amherst Nebraska. This storm was strengthening and moving almost due south, southeast, meaning it was coming right at my location.
It would be a Historic Event to capture! Now remastered to the original color with no enhancements. Enjoy!

This set of images is and still has been the most stolen set of images I have on the web on several platforms. Literately millions of views with no link back to my work or my photostream. Probably why I haven't revisited this set til now.
Just to let you know, those images were WAY over processed, over saturated etc. Yes I'm guilty. But it was the way I did things back then. I don't anymore.
Every year I go back and edit a few sets of images that deserve to be re-edited or reprocess from raw. I'm also adding several images from this set I didn't share last time around.

Petromax Rocket Stove inside gets your cooking very fast. Tiny stove but using pots up to 10 l is still good.

Bathing fun at an altitude of 3,500 metres
A hot spring rises in the depths of the Atacama Desert and feeds the Termas de Puritama. Eight pools interrupt the course of the river, which meanders through a canyon not far from the provincial town of San Pedro de Atacama. All of them have a pleasant temperature of 33.5 degrees.

I have made a very contrasty different image here which I think rather befits the weather on the day it was taken, today is much the same if not worse a very strong South Westerly wind with intermittent rain .
The Sierra Nevada mountains rise above the geothermal springs at Hot Creek, near Mammoth Lakes, California.

So lately I have started KARtooning real cars which was something that I thought was possible - basically warping cars into funny shapes. With each one, I have learned something new.
Fast-forward to this image.
This old hot rod truck is in our hometown of Taber, Alberta, Canada. I have often driven by it for 20 years and never stopped to get a picture of it until a few days ago.
Kartooning it meant that I was using a full shot of the truck and from the same camera angle a zoomed in shot of the tires. Tires don't do well when they are stretched out and warped, so a larger version of the tires would help preserve the details.
I worked on the truck separately until I got a tooned image that I liked.
The backgound image was shot a few years ago in the next province over in Saskatchewan. I thought this image would be a nice backdrop to the truck.
Both the background and the truck were shot in HDR fashion bracketed from 3 shots. (the truck was hand-held)
After matching the colors and tonal ranges between the two shots it was time to blend them together into a single image.
It was fun but the entire time I am thinking...what on earth am I doing!?
