Just before we left, we stood in the open space although it had started drizzling. We took this busy night scene at a seafood eatery along Changi Road, where we had our dinner on Christmas day.

Craving Wendy's for dinner! I got the Homestyle S'Awesome Bacon Chicken Sandwich. It's a sandwich with a juicy, lightly breaded chicken breast, 3 strips of Applewood smoked bacon, muenster cheese, lettuce, tomato, and with Wendy's signature sweet & tangy Sid of S'Awesome sauce. For my side, I got the large chili. Yup, I was a hungry boy lol.
This was at the Wendy's on the intersection of Aborn and Capitol here in San Jose, CA. I was hanging out with my cousin at the time. Once again, we were doing another one of our random hangout sessions lol. Anyways, let's enjoy!

It is lightly damp with soft noodles served on a fragrant soft palm bark [opei leaf], well flavoured, textured with eggs [sometimes] and with pieces prawns and sotong rings served with sambal chillies and lime.
Rika said this was good...must be, because there is always a queue waiting to be served.
Homestyle pandesal (a rather dense and hearty "salt bread") is crowned with a sweet twist on florentine called laing (taro root leaves, coconut milk, shrimp paste, and chilies), a poached egg, calamansi lime hollandaise, and jumbo grilled prawns. On the side are kamote fries (a white sweet potato best enjoyed with a bottle of banana ketchup).

I made this today, first time I've made anything that needed stuffed, pretty pleased with it. He looks a little lonely though, think he needs a mate!

I was excited when I spotted this group of trishaws ferrying tourists for sightseeing. I managed to take two photos when they stopped at Middle Road traffic junction just as ER and I were heading towards Little India MRT Station. There was coordination within the group of trishaw men; I heard a fairly loud “beep” signaling it was time to move on when the traffic light turned green.
Trishaw rides offer closer glimpse at the scenes of bustling daily life along the lesser seen local streets in Singapore!
Although there are only two items of food shown here, "ngoh hiang" is assortment of fried food.
ER bought them from Lao Zhong Zhong Five Spice Stall @ Jackson Kopitiam, Stall #1. ER, however, felt disappointed for his old time favourite prawn fritters are not sold anymore.
"Ngoh Hiang" is a type of Chinese food consisting of minced pork and prawn flavoured with five-spice powder, rolled inside a beancurd skin and deep-fried. Served with sliced cucumber and eaten with chilli sauce and sweet sauce. Yummy!!

These drumsticks were quite big. To be sure that they are cooked thoroughly, I steamed them with seasonings for half an hour, cooled and then dredged them with self-raising flour, followed by dipping in lightly beaten egg and then with another coat of flour before shallow frying. This method has caused the meat to dry out. The steaming process has removed a lot of juices from the drumsticks.
