After the holiday's - I am left with an empty mantle, and I am always stumped as to how to decorate it for the remainder of the winter. This year I decided to go with a few items that lift my spirit and reminds me of the coming spring,
I'd love to know what my Flickr friends do with their mantles once the Christmas decorations are removed. Any inspiration is much appreciated.
Slightly cluttered right now since I picked up a few items on our trip to Prague and I'm not sure where to place them.
I don't recall exactly what street this was on.
The Sunset District, and the Outer Sunset District in particular, is traditionally, where many families live in San Francisco. The homes are smaller (1,200 to 1,500 square feet/400 to 500 square meters) and to make them distinct, the homes have flourishes, (e.g. a small balcony with a unique, decorative rail). The Outer Sunset is quiet, fairly safe and next to the Pacific Ocean.
Trying to get some order back into my kitchen after my brother-in-law did major electrical work and we had to take everything out from the walls.
Ørjan took down the shelving when Tobias was here and readjusted the height when he rehung it. I'm not sure I like the new heigh difference but I'll live with it. There's so much more I want to put on those shelves but Ørjan keeps taking things off!

I reorganized my desk today and FINALLY decided to hang some artwork and decor on the walls. It's a mix of items I've found at various second-hand shops and sales as well as IKEA items.
This is the only heater for the whole main floor of my house but instead of the warmth circulating freely it gets absorbed straight away by a large ginger fur ball, AKA Matti, AKA Goldeneye! ;-)
I haven't uploaded many shots of my cats lately - Pushkin sadly died in June so I have just Matti now.

Ohio Village is a living history museum intended to provide a firsthand view of life in Ohio during the American Civil War. Currently, the Village is themed toward life in the 1890s. The buildings that make up the village are all reproductions.
