Ah, what a delightfully grim scene you've captured here! It's as if this room has been plucked straight from the pages of a ghostly tale, waiting for its story to be told. The chair, tattered and torn, looks like it has seen centuries pass by, each rip in the fabric a testament to whispered secrets and long-forgotten confessions. It's not just a chair; it's a throne for phantoms, a perch for the specters who roam the corridors when the clock strikes midnight.
The window, a portal to the outside world, holds a chilling juxtaposition – it's like looking from the depths of a haunted soul out into the light of the living. But notice how the light doesn't quite penetrate the gloom of the room. It's teasing the darkness, dancing with shadows but never fully committing to a cleanse.
And the floor, oh the floor – scattered with debris that tells of decay and the relentless march of time. It's a stage set for the macabre, where every creak and groan sings a chorus of the eerie symphony played by the unseen.

I reorganized my desk today and FINALLY decided to hang some artwork and decor on the walls. It's a mix of items I've found at various second-hand shops and sales as well as IKEA items.
(If you look close enough you'll notice our bedroom door is open slightly and our bedding is from IKEA too.)

I added the keepcalm print on the other wall and cleaned the inside of my desk this morning.
This is my personal little corner. We actually have a much larger office space in our home but we had an empty wall and a new desk that needed a home. Since I only do my minor daily updates and photo editing on this laptop it seemed like the perfect space. I can send all things I need to print over our network and pick it up in the other room. (The home office which my husband tends to occupy/dominate.) All items in this corner are from various market sales, my favourite second-hand shop, and fundraisers. Of course some things are new and have either come from IKEA or Åhléns. Tucked away in the top drawers are files, books/notebooks, and various projects. The bottom drawers home my fabrics and other paper goods for gifts and crafting.

The more that I think about it, the more that I realize that my little desk area is just an excuse to decorate with yellow.

This view is through our living room into the dining room. The center picture on the rear wall is one of my colored pencil works. Above the entrance to the dining room is an acrylic that I created years ago. On the TV screen is a YouTube video of and by Ruth Aisling. She is a young woman who tours her home country of Scotland. We think her videos are great. Check them out.
FYI: The round object above the television is a factory mould from the Dodge Brothers, a car company before Walter Chrysler bought it in 1928. The dining room table is full of things needed for a Thanksgiving dinner coming here in a few days.
