Day 44 - January 13, 2010

Went on a road trip today to shoot some photos at the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta at Clarkfield in Pampanga. My problem however is that for most of the afternoon...a cast of grey clouds covered up the lovely blue sky and blocked out the sun. I didn't get to see any hot air balloons either. Took a lot of photos of kites, planes and sky divers - but everything looked dull and grey and to some extent morbid. Nothing quite reflective of my current mood.

Took this photo on the trip home. Spotted the view and immediately asked my friend to, "STOP the car!" right in the middle of the Subic Clark Tarlac Express Way (SCTEX). Good thing there weren't that many motorists today and a reasonable shoulder where we could park the car.

Just like yesterday, I got down on all fours to take this photo. Still have bumps in my hand from leaning on some spiky weeds and shrubs. Quite painful buggers actually.

Anyway instead of the usual red Chinese New Year photo I decided on this one. For me it tells of people going home to their families during the holidays. Being with your loved ones is after all, the best way to spend any occasion.
