Anyone remember putting angel hair on the tree? It used to be made of spun glass, yes, glass, and you had to be very careful or you'd get cut. Therefore, it was my Mom who got the job.
Every year my Mom had a different theme tree. She'd dog year and make notes on her home magazines. Then she'd put some of the ideas into effect. This one was from the mid-50's.

Logan is MIllie's brother and is about a third more cat than she - he purportedly weighs 10 lb to her 6.5! He's also a bit more talkative and a lovely orange color. Millie's still cuter, though.
I had to snap these brackets before Wes destroyed the virgin snow. This is the living room and antiques storage section of the house. My previous picture showed the living room interior with the holiday decorations. I was told this side of the house was once the barn and stable, housing both horses and whatever the horses pulled to get into town. The house was recently re-sided with cedar. The lower boards are finally starting to weather to a grey color.
The city was enveloped in a thick shroud of fog today. I love the fog.

On December 22, 2009 vigils of hope were held in a few locations across the United States, in hopes of bringing the hikers home for the holidays. Friends, family and supporters of Shane, Sarah and Josh joined together to send love and light to Shane, Sarah and Josh in Tehran, which hopefully provided a source of strength for them in their detention.
