Not too many years ago a large bushfire burned through this region of the Central Highlands. It's amazing how quickly the forest regenerates though.

As a photographer, a common theme I like to find is minimal geometry and patterns in nature or man-made objects.

This photo represents geometrical patterns and shapes created by the architecture and reflection of the Prudential Plaza in Jacksonville, FL. I walk past this building so many times, but one day managed to stand underneath it, and discovered this magic.

The architect is KBJ Architects from Jacksonville, FL, a firm responsible for shaping the incoming Jacksonville skyline we have today.

The rock isn't quite so hollow right now. Lake Superior is still open even after the deep freeze we had.

Our view of the Pacific Ocean from Beards Hollow Overlook. A bluff north of North Head Light House at Cape Disappointment. This view point is overlooking Beards Hollow south of Seaview.

History note: Captain Lewis & Clark reached the Pacific Ocean near modern-day Seaview, Washington, November 15, 1805.

It's a simple view of pure nature landscaped with beautiful evergreen trees, a beach shore when tide is out is reachable by foot or vehicle. Today, it was 115f in town, here 66f key weather with low cloud marine haze over the ocean...it was the perfect day to cool off.

Sleepy Hollow Evening.

North of the small town of Woodstock, Vermont, lays some of the prettiest farm country on planet earth. Driving up Cloudland Road brings you into some of the most idyllic scenery located anywhere. Sleepy Hollow Farm is one of many small, family, farms that dot the hillsides in this rural area. Most of the trees had dropped their leaves in this area, but thankfully some of the most vibrant fall colors were still right behind the farm. This particular evening was misty and wet. It provided all the atmosphere needed for beautiful color in the hills. This was one of many beautiful moments from this trip that started in Albany, Ny, and ended 5 days later in Portland, Maine. I have many great photos to share in the upcoming weeks.

Imagen de cierta complejidad donde tuve que echar mano de una multi exposición de tres imágenes unidas en LR y procesadas en PS posteriormente con empleo de mascaras de luminancia para poder compensar las luces del sol y las sombras tan pronunciadas que se formaban.

The shadows of the waterbugs on the stream bed were what caught my eye first. Then it was the whole shadow and light composition, golden detail versus expressionist strokes of green reflection. Taken at Chatfield Hollow State Park in Connecticut. This won't look like much on a small screen ie., a phone or small tablet. The larger the better. Press 'L' for a better look at the detail.

Large Volumes of snow melt from a long February thaw

HOLLOW is the topic for 3rd October, 2010

Built in 1904 this abandoned schoolhouse is located in a field near The Dalles on Japanese Hollow Road. Back then there was a group of Japanese immigrants who lived on the roads end, thus, how it got it's name. Also known as Eightmile Schoolhouse.

One of the few tors we passed on our hike last Sunday. There was some interesting light conditions with thick clouds covering the landscape but some sunny patches peeking through.

Dark Hollow Falls - Shenandoah National Park, VA

6+ inches of rainfall between September 28th-29th transformed the falls into raging whitewater.

3 vertical images merged - in hindsight I should taken 5 or 6.
