I tried to get pictures of all of the visible Holiday Inn branding, like this entrance wayfinding sign.

Effective 12-10-2010, the Holiday Inn North, 1950 Newtown Pike, Lexington KY will become a Clarion Hotel. This Holiday Inn was built in 1966 and is the last of the original classic-style Holiday Inns in Lexington. The former HI at Athens-Boonesboro Road and I-75 is now a Best Western, and the Eastland Holiday Inn was razed several years ago.

Holiday Inn Riverside Hotel in Tianjin. i was very impressed with this hotel.my photos don't do justice. it has all the amenities a 5-star hotel has..and more! i don't really know why this is a 4-star. it has everything i need from make-up removers to ironing board and umbrellas. plus, you have 2 pillow options to choose from. breakfast was ok. the only thing i didn't like was the incense beside the bed. overall, the interiors were amazing.

The wing of the Holiday Inn that hasn't been gutted by the church is now surrounded by a barbed-wire fence. Very curious.

not sure if he bought anything. he was looking through Glenn's goods. I should have asked him what he was looking for in particular.

actually the Holiday Inn at Texas Medical Center.

The back reads:

Holiday Inn South

Chattanooga, Tennessee

Conveniently located minutes from downtown Chattanooga at the intersection of South Market Street and Freeway Interchange. Coffee House, Red Coals Restaurant and Trouphy Lounge.

Tel: AM 5-0551 - AC: 615

Another early-60's HI card. ..."Trouphy"?? Nice googie touches on the roofline.

Hmmm, think maybe this was once a Holiday Inn?

The view from our room at the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort.

Kat won the trip, and we are enjoying our stay.

We look out to inside the hotel. So strange. Notice the ceiling over the salad bar is suspended from the ceiling.

Opened in summer 1971; now (2020) operating under the Wyndham banner.

Had a meeting at the Cambridge Holiday Inn, a compromise venue halfway for those of us attending (Birmingham, Coventry, Ipswich and London). The meeting was to discuss a possible collaboration on a distance learning programme for doctors in Africa. It'll mean a trip to Beira in Mozambique sometime in March/April. I'm excited by the prospect though the Wikipedia entry for Beira recommends "Carrying a handgun or knife for personal protection is recommended". Erm, okaaay...

The Holiday Inn known as "Knoxville Northeast" has been purchased and partially gutted by the neighboring church.

Built in 1742 and given to the town of Boston by Peter Faneuil of French Huguenot parentage.

The first story used as a market and the upper story as a town hall burned in 1761 and rebuilt in 1763 somewhat enlarged. Here both before and during the Revolution were held many patriotic meetings which kept alive among the people the fires of freedom and stirred them to greater deeds from which fact the hall became known as the CRADLE OF LIBERTY.

Jet lag can be terrible.

I slept from 8pm till 12pm... then couldn't get to sleep until 4am... waking in a start at 9:30am. I was taken aback I'd awoken so late. The thick blackout curtains doing their job.

The morning outside is bright and clear. Just right for my drive home.
