We are so happy to be joining in with the Holiday Cheer! Here is Andy Pandy with a pinecone I've had in my collection for quite a number of years!!
Well this is more of a fun shot of course.
Happy Holidays and have a great New Year to you all in FickerDom! I did have fun last night scoping out places while bike riding so I could come back later and "night shoot" the scenes before all the lights are turned off come after X-Mas. Used a new 16-35mm lens for the capture! First time using & was blown away by the wide view on things... I was working @ night with it, but cannot wait to get a little more serious with this wonderful glass.
Once again Happy Holidays & Happy New Year my Flickr Friends. Have really enjoyed the photo adventure with you all thoughout the years.

No, this is not a painting. It's a photo of a small portion of a miniature set of an entire village nestled in the snowy mountains, complete with trains, waterfalls, animatronics, flashing lights, and Christmas music. The craftsmanship is stunning! The village is set up in my neighbor Paul's garage every year for the holiday season, along with an incredible display of decorations and lights around his home. This time, I got there before his family was done setting up; in a week, there will be throngs of people stopping by and it will be very difficult to maneuver around with a tripod to get a good shot!
I took many time exposure shots at night to capture a warm feel for the illuminations and flashing lights. This one was 2.5 seconds, and gave the set a sharp yet artistic feel to it.
