True Friends do not idly distract but attempt to move each other towards a Higher sense of Purpose ...

to where our higher nature rules ...

Was on the way back from watching the Malaysia F1 race to my hometown, on the plane. Early morning flight. I thought I would miss the sunrise as I was sitting on the wrong side of the plane, facing west. I felt a bit frustrated. I should've chosen the other side of the plane window seat. Then suddenly another plane darting crossing our path, flying above us leaving a nice cloud trail behind it. It was quite a special moment/scene to me. I think It will be difficult or impossible for me to encounter such a scene again.

Tropical sky. Hope everybody have a great weekend

One bright moment

Is all I ask.

Said, I'm gonna leave my body

I'm gonna lose my mind

The joys of being pushed on a swing . A lovely capture of my granddaughter's delight at flying through the air. Simple pleasures.

The wind rocked me to sleep but when I woke up for the Moonrise and Milky Way it was perfectly calm. We had fantastic conditions up here. Are you sick of this location yet because I have more, haha.

Pink Lakes, Yorketown, Yorke Peninsula

Some impressive cliffs along this stretch of coast. The beach below is deserted partly because it is hard to access and partly because behind me is a far better one!

Making an interesting black and white photo doesn't equal simply moving the saturation slider all to the left. At least that's what I've realized. The most amazing photos I'm gathering here in my Black & White gallery are a huge inspiration. I noticed that the best of them feel quite dramatic and are higher in contrast.

My class successfully launched a near space weather balloon today. We also know exactly where it landed! There just happens to be about 60' of trees left for it to fall :)

I'm hoping we can retrieve it shortly. I spent 2 hours in a deer fly infested woods looking for it. Stay tuned for pictures hopefully. I bet this area will look great from 100,000 feet!

It turns out that when you climb up over the steep cliff above Fitzgerald Falls, there's this beautiful part of the forest along the rocky stream and a few more small waterfalls I'll show later on. Monroe, Orange County, New York

I'm going on a trip for a few days, but I'll check in to see your photos now and then on my laptop. Hope everyone has a great week!

never used a phone for fotography, but never say never - this will be an exception

You have to go Large on this one to truly take it all in......not much done to this except some added highlights....pretty much the way i left it. I pushed past my boundaries and went higher than ever before. Hanging out with the ghost trees It felt like i was having an out of body experience. Whenever i get stressed i close my eyes and think of this spot and it all goes away....

*Make mental note not to forget my snow-shoes and my tent next time* Happy 'hump' day!

I know my regulars will have been expecting my usual second-bite-of-the-cherry shot and I don't like to disappoint!
