Big Panorama of New Zealand - zoom in for detail

Keswick and Derwent water on a late Spring afternoon, taken from Walla Crag.

This path soon gives way to a paved one leading to Cap Gros, then running alongside the walls surrounding the great parks of the private properties "château de la Garoupe" and "château de la Croé": the winding and sometimes narrow route leads along the rocky headland and around some small creeks. This brings you to the tip of Cap d'Antibes where you will find the villa Eilenroc. Head inland via the "sentier des Douaniers", enclosed by two walls separating the path from the landscape gardens full of wonderful fragrances, then follow avenue Beaumont until it joins the main boulevard Francis Meilland, then return to the car park via avenue de la Tour Gandolphe.

This heron has a great view of the the Kyoto Garden's pond at Holland Park.Only problem being the inhabitants are monsters

Cairngorms Rainbow, we went up Cairngorms and couldn't get out of the car the wind was so fierce, at one point it nearly blew us over, so this was a quick photo as we headed down to a more sheltered spot

FIRE is a crazy kid who likes to hold onto electrical lines and shimmy up enormous round concrete poles. brilliant.

The Panasonic and the sunshine got the best shot of this I've ever managed.

Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites. :O)

‘Wake me up my love

Dream with me

Gonna Fly’

One of the things I’ve always loved about railways is the sense of adventure that they bring. I felt this lovely street had an everyday feeling, contrasting with the train riding high and whisking people off to see family, friends, or maybe just for a ride out on this wonderful sunny day!

A location that’s little changed since the days when Deltics rumbled past in the 1970s, but on this occasion it’s 68025 ‘Superb’ away from its usual stomping ground with the 1018 Tyne Yard Signal T176 to Leeds Balm Road passing Atherton Street, Durham, on Saturday 17th April 2021.

OTIS: "Oh, we climbed too high! I'm afraid! How do we get down?"

ODESSA: "Do not worry! Put your arms around me and hold tight!

I'll take you down safely!"

HTBT!

One from yesterday evening somewhere between Fleetwith Pike and Haystacks looking towards Buttermere. I was fully convinced I was going to be in with the chance of seeing some fantastic last light. However, the clouds had other ideas just as the timing came into place. Thankfully, I didn’t walk away empty handed as around half an hour into golden hour, the light came out! Albeit, only for a couple of minutes.

This is an amazing ,flat white building… designed by the architects Hentrich, and Petschnigg , together with the young architects…Eller and Walter; originally for Thyssen AG. It’s now used as offices for many different firms , and has a gourmet restaurant in the basement… most likely a wonderful place to eat for those that can afford to do so!!

Part of three towers in an industrial state down the road from where I live. Due to the buildings all around it, it presents a challenge to get a good angle but I think this one worked out OK.

Hope everyone is having a great week.

As always thank you for all the support!

Nice little tree surviving the elements.

One of the most beautiful sites in all of Wisconsin, Devil's Doorway is part of the east bluffs, rising 500 feet above the lake.

Devil's Lake State Park is the most visited state park in Wisconsin, attracting 3 million visitors each year. Autumn is a wonderful time to visit, and the hikes to the top are always worth it.

The lovely weather has lured Ramses back into my garden. I heard a noise behind the house and found Ramses high up on a trellis which in summer is overgrown by the grape ivy. The trellis offers a nice view, I suppose, and Ramses feels quite safe up there as most of the other cats in the area aren't great climbers.
