The highest point in Louisiana is Driskill Mountain at 535 ft above sea level. It is about a one mile walk to the top. The monument is made out of slag. During the Civil War, the Confederate Army made bullets here.
We had to get quite close before we could see the summit. This is the first time that the clouds cleared enough for us to see.
The summit of Garrison Ridge, in the village of Garrison in Pennsylvania's southwest corner, is Greene County's highest point. An ATV trail leads up to it from the road.
