On this day, the fog was thick like pea soup. It was an opportunity for a "high key" look; one that consists mainly of color toward the white spectrum. These logs have retained their bright red interior, and provide a small amount of color to the shot.

The fog was almost blinding because it was so very white and bright. I almost titled this shot "blinded by the light". However, the atmosphere was a complete white out, leaving me thinking of the dangers mariners experience during such weather conditions.

macro Mondays: high key

First time tried this. Held camera below plant and then try to aim looking at fold down screen

This is a salmon colored daylily. The buds are yellow and the background above the bloom is blue. The original is beautiful but I've been wanting to try a little high key work so here it is.
