This was one I didn't even think I'd keep but it ended up doing incredibly well in the BBC a few years back. Was a bloody awful day , snow blasting and somewhere nearly -35c and I was sitting in a flock of doves. Doves are a big favourite of Snowy Owl. Doves not paying attention and you end up in an explosion of feathers.

SUBJECT: A YELLO FLOWER IN THE FALL

(this flower, though it's clustered is very small. this shot is less than an inch, including empty spaces.)

 

I don't know what it's called but it's one of the few flowers left at the local nursery.

Just used a off camera flash with a diffuser on bounce off the ceiling
