went a bit mad at the guilfest... walking around the whole day with no shirt on, and not a lot of water was perhaps not the smartest thing i ever did, but i quite like some of the results, you'll see the result soon! (as i still work on catching up with everybody...)

This one is a little like something out of the German expressionist school; but I like the high contrast look of it.. It's definitely tongue-in-cheek where Tyler is concerned. This is one of the patented looks he pulls in front of a camera.

This is my young maple tree, shot at about the same time of day as the photo I took of the same tree on 12/5/09. I've also shot several perspectives that aren't on Flickr -- I enjoy photographing the same subject in a variety of ways over time. (Several examples are posted in my Silhouettes set.) After coming across similar instances in some of my Flickr friends' photostreams this week, I decided to revisit Mr. Mapletree.

I converted this late afternoon shot into high contrast black and white in Lightroom Beta 3 to achieve a brighter-than-normal "day for night" look.

The reflections from some nearby windows makes the pavement in front of my townhouse look uneven. I love the little shadow pocket for the leaf. Available light, Fuji X100s.

This abstract house front near my home offered some fun B&W possibilities, and this is one possible interpretation.

Strong contrast and slight toning carried out in Photoshop, after (nearly) fixing the perspective.
