The High Street in Oxford, England, runs between Carfax, generally recognized as the centre of the city, and Magdalen Bridge to the east.

The street has been described by Nikolaus Pevsner as "one of the world's great streets". It forms a gentle curve and is the subject of many prints, paintings, photographs, etc. The vista looking west towards Carfax with University College on the left and The Queen's College on the right is an especially popular view. There are many historical buildings on the street, including the University of Oxford buildings and colleges. Locally the street is often known as The High.

It's especially important that the bike be visible from behind, since you're less likely to be aware of what's going on back there. Good lights and reflectors integrated with the bike itself make this visibility automatic.

High seas at Clogher Strand

Perhaps the most creative space for enjoying a good book at LA's central library is the bridge that spans the central atrium. If you are lucky enough to snag one of the five seats here you can enjoy the view and read by the natural light that streams in through the skylights and the large window facing Grand Ave. It's not for people with acrophobia, however. The bridge is suspended six floors up.

It's no Brian McCarty shot, but I love the expression on these two high-fiving each other.

Principia Upper School wrestlers went to a tournament, and faced opponents from large St. Louis schools such as CBC, DeSmet, Vianney, and Hazelwood - great practice for Districts!

“I felt like lying down by the side of the trail and remembering it all. The woods do that to you - they always look familiar, long lost, like the face of a long-dead relative, like an old dream, like a piece of forgotten song drifting across the water; most of all like golden eternities of past childhood or past manhood and all the living and the dying and the heartbreak that went on a million years ago and the clouds as they pass overhead seem to testify (by their own lonesome familiarity) to this feeling.” - Jack Kerouac
