One big, angry pack... Will Davison heads a very crowded field around Eastern Creek in the third and final race of the weekend. Mark Winterbottom has already disappeared, so rapid was his launch off the line.
Have a look at the full view of this and you'll notice some dirt and grass being flung on the inside of Jamie Whincup's car; Garth Tander made a rather agressive dive on Steven Richards, which is why they're alongside each other.

I drove miles, trying to get a clear shot of this beautiful sunset without power lines in front of it, only to find a power station. So I figured, if you can't beat 'em, make them your subject.
A Dominion Virginia Power transmission tower just east of Ivor, Va. This photo was one of several I took for a news story I wrote for the Tidewater News about DVP's plans to build an additional power line through the area in 2009. Photographed Tuesday, November 4, 2008.

Marble sarcophagus with the myth of Selene and Endymion
Period:
Severan
Date:
early 3rd century A.D.
Culture:
Roman
An inscription at the center of the lid informs us that this trough-shaped sarcophagus was dedicated to a woman named Arria, who lived fifty years and ten months, by her daughter Aninia Hilara. Arria’s portrait is carved just to the right of the inscription. The story of Endymion is shown in strongly undercut relief on the front of the sarcophagus. In the center, Selene, the moon goddess, alights from her chariot to visit her beloved, the shepherd Endymion, who reclines at the right. Endymion, most beautiful of men, has been granted eternal youth and eternal sleep. A female figure stands over him, pouring out the magic potion of immortality and holding a bunch of sleep-inducing poppies. The scene is flanked on the left end of the sarcophagus by a rising Helios, the sun god, and on the right by a descending Selene, each in a chariot. On the back, a bucolic scene with herdsmen among grazing bulls and unyoked horses is cut in low relief. Allusions to the changeless cycle of nature are combined with a myth of fulfillment through unending sleep.

No stranger to the East Midlands region, this was new in 2017 to Marshalls of Sutton-on-Trent who operated a pair of Versa XFEs on their 90, both of which now reside at High Peak in Skyline 199 livery for use alongside the E200MMCs.

I wasn't sure about this line when it first came out but they started to grow on me more and more over time (our TRU can be so slow sometimes so I didn't even see one in person until a few weeks ago). I got them all 50% off on Friday at TRU and deboxed them yesterday. Now, out of the box, I absolutely love them and I am so glad I decided to get them. Now if only I could find the Once Upon A Zombie dolls at a store. TRU in Times Square had them but we didn't have the money and I just figured they would show up here someday anyway.
