This is some industrial building I've been trying to photograph several times but always had bad luck with the sky or weather. When I got my ND400 filter this was one of the first places to try out long exposures that came to my mind and i finally got something release-worthy
Filters used: Circular polarizer & ND400 (9-stop gray)

High Lane Colliery was established by Joseph Wright after the closure of Norbury Colliery in 1892. I believe that Wright was at one time the Secretary of the Norbury Colliery for Messrs Clayton and Brooke. In 1907 the Great Central Railway granted Wright permission to drive an adit to the New (Accommodation) Seam from the bank of the High Lane Canal Branch. This ran under the cricket club and subsequently under the Buxton branch railway for which the LNWR gave permission for a heading 4ft square under its property.
Wright wasted no time in getting to work and these workings started production of coal on January 1st 1908. From Jan 1st to June 30th 1908 the output was 614t 19cwt 0qr @ 6d per ton royalty to the Legh estate at Lyme Hall = £15 17s 6d. He laid down a tramway from the mine entrance along teh towpath to the old abandoned Norbury Colliery canal branch and filled it with spoil from driving the tunnel. The mine closed in 1917 and Joseph Wright retired.
The photo shows the view from the towpath bridge over the canal branch. The remains of Wright's mine entrance can be seen just left of centre next to a leaning tree. The timber lintel over the entrance survives and can be clearly seen.
Summer is just a few weeks away despite spring blossoms still being abundant among the underbrush as northbound NS double-stack intermodal train 216 roars high above the Kentucky River on the famous High Bridge of the former Southern Railway on the afternoon of May 1, 2021, in High Bridge, KY.
Hello Every One, I come back with many beautiful high heels pics. LOL. Hope one day that both you and me could have a great collection of the best heels that we love. Does there

High Falls District in Rochester, New York. Here the High Falls of the Genesee River as it passes through downtown Rochester, New York. The falls is single drop and 96 feet high.
Notice the two bridges that cross the River. The closest carries the main east/west rail tracks for both passenger and freight trains. The further and a tad lower is the auto expressway that enters the City from the west.

Pair of abandoned black leather high heel boots by a large bin on the main road in Barbican opposite some pubs and bars. Found after the summer bank holiday on Tues 30th August 2022. Boots are a size US10, brand unknown as boots are well worn.
After the red serge, the high browns are one of the nicest parts of the Mountie uniform (IMO). Part of their training is to spend many, many hours waxing these boots to a high shine.
Early morning sunshine lights up dead snow gums in Victoria's high country. Mt Spion Kopje is in the background (I think there are two Spion Kopjes in Vic - this is the one near Lake Tarli Karng).
HIGH OR LOW 8 - 14th December
Love watching these fly over us where we are staying, there is also one that takes off from the water, don't know if I would be brave enough to fly in one, does look like fun.

The road closure on highway 287 at Owl Canyon Rd during the High Park Fire.
After sitting around for awhile on Sunday evening (6/10/12) at my folks place my wife and I decided to go for a drive. After some brief discussion we my wife, brother, and I decided to go down to see how close we could get to the High Park Fire which is about an hour away from where we were in Cheyenne. We took I-25 south to Owl Canyon Rd. and then took that over to Hwy 287. This shot is of the police barricade at Owl Canyon and 287. You can see the smoke rolling out of the mountains just behind where the closure is.
RD23937. A relic of the British Railways (Western Region) days still standing proudly on the platform at High Wycombe station.
High Wycombe is on the Chiltern Railways line from London Marylebone to Banbury and Birmingham Moor Street. Previously, however, it was the Great Western line from London Paddington to Birmingham Snow Hill, Wolverhampton and Birkenhead.

What was initially just a quick recon visit to see how high tide impacts on Bulgo beach turned into a productive morning. I came away with a few keepers and also scouted out a location past the cave which revealed cliff tops to the south. Worth getting wet feet for anyway. :)
