The mountain scene was serene until an ape appeared on the top. I quickly took the picture, and he was gone. No one believes me that he was really there, but pictures don't lie - they just show us what we want to see. What do you see? If you want to see an ape up there you will. Easy as that.
On the Premužić trail we reached the grassy plateau below Seravski vrh, continuing our trip southwards. This is the view back towards Rožanski kukovi, which we left an hour ago.

On the uphill pull to Canton, 31 hits the "high bridge" along Asheville Hwy. 19, as clouds do their best to thwart a great shot. "Beech Force One" was in full flight for my few days out, and I'm again just learning what the fun of aerial photos is all about.

I probably have mentioned a group on Facebook called 52Frames. Each week a photographic challenge is given and last week it was high key and this was my entry. Imagine my surprise when it was chosen for the 52 picks. The 52 picks are chosen by a committee made up of pros and amateurs that changes out every so often to keep things as fair as possible. Photos are chosen from all the entries, and I'm not sure but I think something like 3-4,000 each week. Only the second time in 3 years that this has happened for me so it's more rare than the Explore! My Granddaughter named the tree Seahorse because in the summer when it has it's leaves the shape looks very much like a seahorse! LOL Hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful weekend!
The recently repainted Virginian heritage unit races north over Wells Viaduct with premium intermodal 24X.
High Falls State Park, Alabama. 4 Sec exp at 16mm. This is a Gorgeous Waterfall if you get a chance to visit. In the summer months it is crowed with cliff jumpers. Including myself...
Okay, so not *that* high above the streets, but it felt like a bit of a precarious spot at first, with a vertical drop a few feet away.
An alternative view of Bewdley station and Wribbenhall Viaduct on the Severn Valley Railway, as 55009 'Alycidon' heads north for Bridgnorth.
The viaduct dates back to 1862, with 55009 entering service 99 years later, in 1961.
Taken late in the afternoon on the first day of the SVR's Autumn Diesel Gala - I was on my way home and had pretty much decided to give this shot a go another time. But a 15 minute stop at Bewdley led to me thinking I'd only regret it if I didn't get the shot. Good job I did, it was my favourite shot of the day.
The Cold Creek flows through a huge terrain break and creates beautiful cascades and cataracts that are especially fascinating in spring when snow melts. So not yet
The nwe ones show little in the distance but they are huge. I like the old ones better. These schould be stronger.
A splash of autumn colour
BHF #walkforhearts challenge number 8, a walk into town with a quick visit to mum & dad en-route - that's another 3.37km bringing the total to 72.62km out of 50km!! - Not too bad for a veteran with a dicky ticker.
Surely that's got to be worth a fiver!
