On a foggy but beautiful day, starting from Hathersage train station walking a loop through Hathersage village, following to the east of Hood Brook, past Bronte Cottage, up to and along Stanage Edge, down to the Burbage, Fiddler's Elbow and Higger Tor, across to Callow and then back into Hathersage.

 

A solitary red grouse that took flight as I got near.

Another from yesterday’s walk. This was taken as we looked back from where we had just come. it was quiet funny on the top as we approached form the other side, the top of Higger Tor there were loads of photographers, it was like a convention. They had parked near the summit to go up and capture the sunrise. Was too busy for my liking.

I'll ask if he wants to join the OFC!

I went to try and capture some golden evening light. Fat chance! Just as we parked the car, the light started to fade, but I persisted and got some moody shots and the occasional glimmer of sunlight.

Another from last Sunday morning up on a very cold and windy Higger Tor in the Peak District.

 

Quite a few togs about, and managed to catch this chap taking the shot of the dawn, along with his patient partner.
