I went to try and capture some golden evening light. Fat chance! Just as we parked the car, the light started to fade, but I persisted and got some moody shots and the occasional glimmer of sunlight.

The Longshaw Estate, which is made up of open moorland, woodland and farms, provides excellent walking country, with dramatic views over the Derwent Valley. The estate is owned and managed by the National Trust.
