Singer-songwriter Terri Hendrix is another favorite of the Austin music scene with several CDs under her belt including her latest release, "Cry till you Laugh". A winner of several Austin Chronicle and San Antonio Current music awards, and a Grammy winner herself for co-writing the 2002 Dixie Chicks' song, "Lil' Jack Slade". She's seen here performing during an in-store appearance at Waterloo Records on June 24, 2010.

Jimi Hendrix was an American rock guitarist, singer, and songwriter. Although his mainstream career spanned only four years, he is widely regarded as one of the most influential electric guitarists in the history of popular music, and one of the most celebrated musicians of the 20th century. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame describes him as "arguably the greatest instrumentalist in the history of rock music".
You can see Jimi Hendrix at Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum in New York's Times Square. It's a great place to spend a few hours!

Jimi Hendrix played on the Fourth of July and he performed his version of the Star Spangled Banner during a big fireworks display. Technically he played early Sunday morning on July 5 but it was still the fourth for us. I know this is not too useful but remember this was when ISO 64 Ektachrome was "high speed" slide film. Second Atlanta Pop Festival,1970.

The museum had a Jimi Hendrix exhibit. He's a fellow leftie. Of course, he played a right-handed guitar with his left-hand and was far more talented than I am.

This is Jimi Hendrix gravesite. Its located at the Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton washington. I was on my way to Seattle one day when I decided to do something a little different and I went to pay Jimi a visit.
