All my textures are there to be used and abused in any way you like. If you do please put up a thumbnail - I love to see how people use the textures.

Woodland strawberries growing right next to the improvised fence (an approach to make the never completed project fence look a little bit better).

That's about all the light they are getting - still they are growing like crazy.

This summer I took of lot of detail shots which I can use as textures and foundations for abstracts. I’d like to share the first batch of images featuring close-ups of the Canadian Shield rock face along the new stretch of highway just outside of Doe Lake near Katrine in Muskoka, Ontario. Please feel free to use them as you wish. I’ll post other similar stuff from time to time.

The Canadian Shield, also called the Laurentian Plateau or Bouclier Canadien, is a massive geological rock shield covered by a thin layer of soil. It has a deep, common, joined bedrock region in eastern and central Canada and stretches north from the Great Lakes to the Arctic Ocean, covering over half of Canada. It also extends south into the northern reaches of the United States and east as far as Greenland.

Great place for healthy organic smoothies, wraps, salads. The store has items I haven't seen before--you'll have to check it out. Wheatgrass grown by Marc house. Delish!

Day 49/366 - "paper" was the prompt for today.

233 / 366

august 20, 2012

one block away from the artist house where we are staying there is a juice bar / veggie coop kinda place. it's called help yourself. i will be blogging about my key west adventure. if you ever go to the keys you need to try this place. DELISH. josh had eggs for breakfast so it's not all vegan, but for a vegan it's a WONDERFUL place to get organic vegan deliciousness.

we went kayaking after breakfast. two different spots. pretty awesome.

then we drank. then we went to see the sunset but it wasn't happening quick enough so we walked to a burrito place (an old friend from middle school owns) but it was closed (at 6pm. who closes a burrito place at 6pm?!??!). so we went to ambrosia for sushi instead. (yum). then we walked around some more. drank some beers. and crashed.

sad face. we leave tomorrow. i have a stupid work meeting at 3pm in miami. MEH.

ps - i look super fat in this picture. not sure if my 28mm lens is distorting me or what, but i DON'T look like that in any other pictures so... whatever. my arm is not that large! :o(
