Helios 44-2 58mm f2 Vintage lens, adapted to Sony A7 and well known for its swirly bokeh. There are limited number of flowers in my backyard to try my almost unlimited number of vintage lenses so apologies if the same flower comes by a few times :)
One thing I noticed with this lens compared to the projector lens is that it renders colors nicely and has a surprising amount of micro contrast as well as center sharpness. I have not used this Helios lens a lot but I'm definitely going to do so moving forward. You can pick up these lenses quite cheap and only need an m42 to Sony NEX adapter. Everything is manual about this lens, including an aperture present ring.

I have neglected Flickr and photography a bit these last couple of weeks, the reason being that life's been pressing.. I hope that I will get more time over the next few weeks to participate where I can and upload more photos as well as try to comment on all those lovely photos captured by my Flickr friends.
Photographed at Randfontein in South Africa.
Using the Helios 44-2 2/58 lens.
