My horse daughter found a page describing the difference between Shire and Clydesdales, and it's hard to see exactly on the picture. Separate a little on the white head beard only.

I am not generally that successful at bird photography even when I have consciously gone out to see birds. This shot of the chaffinch was pure luck. Mary and I were on a walk recently I had taken a shot or two of some wild flowers . I spotted the bird and took a couple of shots without changing settings not really expecting anything reasonable. In fact I am quite pleased with this one I know it could be sharper but for a grab shot its not too bad . It is very heavily cropped

It's one of my favourite things to do on the beach, stand and watch shower clouds grow and fly towards me. Heavy Water is by British Sea Power. It has the added bonus of usually driving everyone else off the beach.

Tomatoes are fruits that are considered vegetables by nutritionists - so this is killing two birds with one stone ( so to speak ... no harm done to birds by taking this image ... but maybe to those yummy tomatoes afterwards : ))
