'At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love: with him I am well pleased." Matthew 3:16b-17

Having started there: heaven. Windows without sills, without frame, without glass.

A hole and nothing more, but wide open. I don't have to wait for a clear night nor lift your head to observe the sky. I have it behind me, at hand, on my eyelids.

The sky surrounds me tightly and lifts me into the air.

Not even the highest mountains they are closer to heaven than the deepest valleys.

Nowhere is there more sky than in another.

The cloud is so cruelly crushed through the sky like a tomb.

The mole is in seventh heaven like the owl that flaps its wings.

That which falls into the abyss also falls from heaven to heaven. sandy, fluid, rocky, radiant and volatile sky surfaces, sky crumbs, puffs and cumulus clouds of sky.

The sky is omnipresent even in the darkness under my skin.

I eat the sky, I excrete the sky. I'm a trap in the trap, an inhabited inhabitant, a hug embraced, a question as an answer to a question. The division between earth and sky it's not the right way to think about this everything. Just let you live under more precise direction, faster to find, if she were ever wanted. My distinctive features They are delight and despair.

Mont Saint-Michel at night. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

After 15 years of bringing joy to our home, our Schnoodle is no longer confined to this planet. Running through heaven now getting all the treats he wants and chasing down all those fallen angel squirrels.

We held him tight this morning as he left us, knowing he was loved.

He will be missed ...

Norwich Cathedral has one of the most impressive ceilings out there, you can tell it must have of taken quite a long time for them to go about creating this masterpiece.

What i have shot here is the Presbytery of the Cathedral which is situated in the back of the cathedral where the Altar is. The magnificent stained glass windows sitting the the back of the Cathedral are huge and let in so much light.

What i have tried to do is show of the depth of the building so that you feel like you are lying there on your back looking up at the ceiling.

Just looking at the finished picture give me vertigo. It is amazing what a 10-24 DX lens can do.

I also have shot the ceiling as well which I TOOK a while back if you are interested.

BUY!

The long exposure has transformed the scene into a mystical location as if I was atop a mountain amidst a cloud inversion, able to reach out and touch the edge of Heaven.

It’s been 11 years since I last shot this angle of the Scunthorpe Steel works at sunrise; previously it been winter time when the sun is way over to the right well out of shot. And so with a chance of a reasonable sunrise, I thought it was time for a return visit.

The title is a nod to the town’s moto: “The Heavens Reflect Our Labours”, a reference to the tipping of glowing slag from the works, which then illuminates the sky. Of course I didn’t observe this on my visit, and so had to make do with the natural heaven light, aka the sun.

99% of the time I have my long lens zoomed on the crashing wave to catch that magic moment, big waves, I just love them. But sometimes, just sometimes I look at the bigger picture and the heavens above.

This heavenly depiction on the wall of an outdoor stairwell drew much attention.

If all I have is the light in your eyes. That's what heaven is

Luckily i had my camera with me when this cloud formation passed in front of a full moon, unusually the clouds all had a deep blue hue to them.
