Thank you in advance to everyone that comments and/or faves my picture. They are all immensely appreciated.

After a long, scathing drought in the Kruger National Park, it finally rained and rained for several days on end. When the sun broke through, the sight of the flowing river was heartwarming.

Hello Everyone!

Perhaps I am a simpleton, but it never ceases to amaze me that small birds can perch on little flowers! This was taken during fall migration and the Nashville Warbler was so intent on finding bugs that it paid no attention to me as I clicked away. A few passersby stopped to ask what I was seeing. It was heartwarming to see their delight as they stood by me and watched the action. This was one of those memorable days that we all hope to have now and again.

Thanks a million for stopping by and for leaving a comment. I do love hearing from you! Have a wonderful day and weekend!

Thanks everyone for the wishes and sweet comments! Really appreciated and heartwarming.

Wishing you all a great weekend and will catch up in the next days! xoxo

The meadow wagtail sings full of fervor.

I don't know if it is a love song or the joy of life, because at the same time nestlings are being fed, which speaks against a love song.

Be that as it may, this sight is so heartwarming that one forgets for a few moments the frightening news that dominates us at the moment.

Hello there,

A few days ago, I got a wonderful surprise at a local park. I had gone there in hopes to find an Eastern Kingbird or a Hooded Merganser. What did I spot but two pelicans! The neat thing was that there was a family who'd never seen pelicans before. It was heartwarming to see them so visibly excited and I enjoyed answering their questions. Thankfully the pelicans didn't fly off and the family got to view them at close range for several minutes.

Thanks a million for stopping by and for leaving me a comment. I do love hearing from you! Have a wonderful day!

Oldevatnet, Vestland/Norway

Classic sight, of course very common in Norway and always heartwarming, because everything is so perfect: the landscape, the houses, only the weather could have been better for an August day...

Juvenile Blue Tit [Cyanistes caeruleus]

This bemused baby has been used to his parents feeding him...He knows there is food in the form of seeds, fat balls and, here, peanuts, at my feeders...He just doesn’t know what to do with it.

He played around with this peanut for a few minutes, then decided on a sunflower heart, with which he flew off to a nearby branch, and began pecking at it.

I thought he looked like a young rugby or American Football player, posing with the ball.

It’s wonderful watching all the babies, at the moment, and the noise they make calling to their parents is very funny and heartwarming.

Here at The Pixies, where I feed the birdies, at the moment, there are baby blue tits, great tits, goldfinches, coal tits, robins, blackbirds, great spotted woodpeckers and nuthatches. I haven’t seen any baby tree creepers, yet - that would be lovely!

Thank you for a heartwarming words!

Nothing makes it feel more like the holidays are truly here than getting the chance to spend time with the friends we love. So you can just imagine my delight when Pengy and Pengu arrived for a Christmas visit with me and Corgsz! Happy twirlszzz! It was a joyful afternoon, filled will laughter and fun!

Little Pengy is so thoughtful, and brought me such lovely gifts! He knows I’m a Georgia Peach, and a mad crazy football fan, so he gifted me the most amazing peach cocktail set, I’m in love with it! And as if that wasn’t incredible enough, he also gave me a magical, good luck football themed handbag that would help ensure wins for my Bulldogs! He also insisted on modeling it for me, and put it around his neck as soon as I opened it! That little rascal!

Pengy loves his snacks, so I gave him a deluxe French fry vending machine, so he can always have hot fries on hand, and I balanced that with some healthier homemade soup and a set of penguin themed mugs...he loves to drink hot chocolate, so that’s what he and Corgsz sipped while Pengu and I indulged in delish peach cocktails! And like all kiddos, lil Pengy likes things that twinkle, so Corgsz chose to gift his friend a light up bunny!

We all had such a lovely day, and our favorite little penguin shows us with each stop on his friendship holiday tour that what matters most in life is our connections to those we hold dear. Thank you my dear Pengu and Pengy, for the treasured gift of friendship, all year through. And for including me in your beautiful, heartwarming holiday series. Love to you both, and to beautiful Andie girl....happiest of holidays to you all!

While visiting a lavender festival I found the children to be the most interesting to watch with their total wonder of the meadow and charm as they explored their surroundings. What a pleasure to witness.

Standing at my back door one day, I watched the baby squirrel on the ground while Mom stood guard from above. The little one became frightened and ran up to where mom was waiting. She hugged and comforted her baby in such a loving way. The affection and interaction was so heartwarming.

We still have pockets of color in our area and we take drives and walks to embrace the last hurrah of autumn. I had a wonderful time raking Maple Leaves with our 2 year old grandson last week and then jumping in the pile. The giggles were heartwarming. It’s been a beautiful warm October for us.

Baby African Bush Elephants, scientifically known as Loxodonta africana, are incredibly adorable and endearing creatures. They are born weighing around 200-250 pounds (90-115 kilograms) and stand about 2.5 to 3 feet (76-91 centimeters) tall at the shoulders.

These young elephants are highly social animals and rely on close bonds with their family members for protection and learning. They are under the constant care and guidance of their mothers and other experienced female elephants within the herd. Baby elephants stay close to their mothers, learning essential survival skills, such as finding water, identifying edible plants, and understanding social behaviors within the herd.

Play is an essential aspect of their early development. They engage in playful activities, such as mock charging, splashing in water, and chasing birds or other small animals. Through play, they hone their motor skills and social interactions, preparing them for adulthood.

Baby African Bush Elephants are heartwarming creatures to observe in the wild, and their presence contributes to the rich tapestry of life in the African savannah.

Adult Caspian Tern gives fish to chick. As all babiy birds do, this one was screaming for food as the parent arrived. Always heartwarming to see.a new, healthy generation.

" The Stand"

They also serve who only stand and wait [ John Milton. 1608-1674 Paradise Lost ]

This amazing "stand" of Scot Pine trees are situated on a ridge at Priest Newtown/ Stilebawn close to where I live and I took the photo at dawn.. As you can see they have a clear unrestricted view, east, out over the Irish sea. They were used as a Waymark point by RAF pilots in WW2 returning to their bases on the east coast of England and in the Valley Airdrome on the Isle of Anglesea in North Wales. They can be seen a long way out to sea. The British Government contacted the Irish Government and ask them to not allow the trees to be cut down, as happened a lot here at that time, as there was a great shortage of fuel . Its wonderful that they were left and Im sure they helped so many young pilots get home.

The trees are close to 200 years of age and are approaching the end of their lives. A few have died but they havent been replaced which I think is a pity. I think that in such a terrible time of war its wonderful to see people helping each other in spite of their difference as there were many, between us. I know of lots of heartwarming stories from here about England and Germany and as we were neutral, bankrupt and incapable of defending ourselves, it allowed us to help so many from each side which we did.

I have to say that these are without a shadow of a doubt, my favourite trees as Ive seen them almost every day of my life.

Hope you like it. Stand tall and strong and keep going!

"SOME OLD FASHIONED THINGS LIKE FRESH AIR AND

SUNSHINE ARE HARD TO BEAT” - LAURA INGALLS WILDER. There is comfort in seeing the sun streaming through the trees welcoming a new day. It is especially heartwarming when you are outdoors to feel the warmth of that sun shining. For us, it was a bonus to have almost the whole campground to ourselves so we had the quiet emergence of the day to ourselves. It really is hard to beat.

Father Bluebird brought his baby into my backyard for breakfast. Baby got plenty to eat and I got a heartwarming view. It was a good day.

The Western Bluebird:

Male Western Bluebirds are shiny blue above with rust-orange extending from a vest on the breast onto the upper back. Females are gray-buff with a pale orange wash on the breast and blue tints to the wings and tail. The throat is blue in males and gray-buff in females, and the lower belly is whitish.

Bluebirds are highly social, and usually feed in flocks during the non-breeding season. They hunt for terrestrial insects by dropping to the ground from a low perch. Western Bluebirds also frequently feed on berries in trees. Western Bluebirds rely on trees both for nesting cavities and hunting perches, and also perch on fences and utility lines.

a cold start of the day but a heartwarming sunrise

When all around us is silent and dark, it is heartwarming to know that we have loved ones whom we can still lean on..♄

There's nothing quite as heartwarming as witnessing the tender bond between a mother Long-tailed macaque and her infant. Their interactions are often filled with grooming, gentle touches, and protective gazes, truly a sweet sight to behold.

The long-tailed macaque, also called the crab-eating macaque, is a fascinating primate native to Southeast Asia with a history deeply intertwined with human communities.

Throughout their range, these macaques have been perceived in conflicting ways – sometimes as agricultural pests, other times as sacred creatures.

In Bali, a thriving population of about 1260 Balinese long-tailed macaques finds refuge in Mandala Suci Wenara Wana, better known as the Ubud Monkey Forest.

Visitors to Uluwatu Temple often witness their renowned cleverness firsthand, as these macaques have learned to "rob" tourists of items like hats and sunglasses, subsequently "bartering" their loot for food.

It is so lovely, the time of blooming fruit trees...

The picture is taken along one of our many cycle routes.

Everybody loves being outside in the warm sunshine these days, I think. During the past weeks we had temperatures up to +25!C .

Hearing the birds chirping, looking at all the blooming trees, the flowers, butterflies and listening to the humming of busy bees is heartwarming and enchanting.

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe described this so well in

'Easter walk' Faust I.

By the way, it is asparagus season and many fields are covered with

huge plastic tarps - to either (black side up) keep them growing or

(white side up as in the picture) to slow down the growth.

It doesn't look very nice but it is more and more common in my region to grow asparagus this way...

Thanks for stopping by :-)

Write something heartwarming, they say. Is it really necessary? I would have to write a long-neck novel about this "little" guy...(he's taller than me:-)

Taken in great zoo of Prague...

This is an image of Westlake Park, located in the city center of Seattle. During this time of year, the park features illuminated trees and constructed, life-size Christmas presents, ornaments, and trees through which people can walk! Apparently, over 80,000 light bulbs are utilized to light up the park!

The title of the image is a parody of the popular Christmas carol, "A Holly Jolly Christmas", because, as you can see, almost everyone in the image is practicing some form of social distancing. Whether this was a coincidence or not, it was intriguing to observe.

Due to the pandemic, the holiday mood and spirit are very much subdued this year compared to previous seasons -- as is probably the same case in cities and towns around the world.

Nevertheless, it was heartwarming to see many parts of the downtown neighborhood here in Seattle sparkling and glistening in spite of our circumstances.

My latest blog article features several festive images of Seattle during the holiday season this year: "Happy Holly Jolly Holidays!"

Wishing all of you a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Festivus, and a healthy, safe, peaceful, and restful holiday season!

The owner of this cat noticed that he would take a piece of food in his mouth and then leave the house every afternoon. Curious, he decided to follow him one day and found out that he was taking the food to this poor doggy who had been abandoned and chained to a post by his owner.

I hadn't planned to go to the park the other day because it was horribly windy. I changed my mind at the last minute and I'm sure glad I did. Goslings are soooo cute and it was heartwarming to see them.

Things are as ever slowly changing..

My illness that is now being treated with double beta blockers is not yet responding well and some of my ordinary PVCs have changed to interpolated PVCs which can eventually lead to Cardiomyopathy with severe and chronic anxiety being the root cause.

I don’t have control over my anxiety and Flickr is just one thing I can leave off at least. I have had some lovely mails asking me to just take a break then come back and believe me they are so heartwarming and mean more than you will ever know.

The place I am at now is to still leave my account open as it is paid up until April 2024. Comments for new photos are turned off and shall remain off as I am too unwell to leave comments as they take me ages to formulate and I get so tired and stressed.

I intend flooding my Flickr account with photos from my two previous Flickr accounts as I get a better idea of whether I myself consider them worthy of uploading to my new online account with a couple of online accounts instead of mixed with thousands of other photos on my PC

I shall hopefully start to fave but not be commenting on photos on Flickr as I not well enough to at the moment but I haven’t given up on getting better although I am unsure how

I wish everyone well and am still browsing all your wonderful inspirational photography !
