"...you literally hand them the razor with a map of where to cut deepest and most painfully on your heart and soul."
- Sherrilyn Kenyon, Devil May Cry
You don't have to date someone to risk getting your heart broken. Any time you love someone—family member, friend, anyone—you risk getting your heart broken. But the crazy thing is, is that it's worth it. Loving someone is one of the greatest gifts you can give—and receive. Being hurt like that can be so painful. You feel so many things. Regret, sadness, sometimes anger, insecurity, doubt. Then you aren't sure who to trust and you're scared everyone else is going to hurt you eventually. Moving on is hard. You learn though. And eventually the pain lessens, and you remember all of the great things that happened between the two of you. You have a choice though. You have to decide if you're going to resent that person and blame them for everything, or you can forgive them and appreciate the times you had together, realize that it's a part of life; people come and go. Just because someone hurts you doesn't mean your relationship with them was a waste. Then sometimes you have a choice to let them back in to your life or not. You have the choice to hand them that razor again and chance having them either hurt you all over again or love you more than they ever did before. That's not something we can predict. And that's what makes the choice so hard every single time.

Our sweet Brady passed away in late January due to suspected hermangiosarcoma. We are heartbroken but so very thankful for the 13 years we spent with him. Last September we fulfilled our dream of moving to Maine. When we daydreamed about the move, we never thought Brady would still be with us, but thanks to COVID we were able to move much sooner than we’d planned. Brady rode across the country with us, stayed in 5 different hotels, ate lots of hamburgers, and then settled in to his new home, where he had 3 beds and access to a nearby beach. He loved having us home all day and he had us well-trained in pats and treat dispensing. He was the perfect pandemic companion and we miss him greatly. I wish he could have stayed with us longer but it just wasn’t meant to be. Thank you to everyone who has followed Brady here. We will have another dog eventually and I plan to be back here. In the meantime, I may post a few more pix from his adventures here.
You don’t know this yet, because today is only the last day of August 2021, but you will be heartbroken and very sad and mad this December when your desperate attempt to return here to Las Vegas to attend the George Strait Show at the T-Mobile Arena, and to attend the Reba McEntire and Brooks & Dunn Show at Caesars Palace will be unsuccessful! 😔😒 You don’t know this today, but you will become terribly fearful that both George Strait and Reba McEntire may have performed their last shows in Las Vegas and may be considering retirement! 😕😧
Bummer!!
But in the meantime, your fabulous seven day Solo Vegas Fling has come to its conclusion! But unlike George Strait and Reba McEntire, you will return! You won’t be back this December, but you will be back in April of 2022 to celebrate your birthday. So go home today and be patient. Make sure you and your very lovely lady get your Pfizer COVID-19 Booster Shots. Do try to convince your very lovely lady that the Coronavirus Global Pandemic will go away one day. Have a nice flight home. 😌

i did a special (to me) series of my favorite doodling heart character one night back in dec 2006 when i was heartbroken and mentally drained. this "'i'll catch your tears" is one of them and one of my favorites in the series... a really close friend of mine surprised me some time before my birthday last year with this precious gift...a handmade polyclay figure of the tear drop with a tear he's made for me... i was very touched. the figure is not perfect, but it is perfect to me, and a gift that i will always cherish... thank you very much again, k!! *hug* ^^
i wish you all, dear friends, that you have good friends who would catch your tears when your heart is broken... if not... i'll try to catch yours...^_~ *hugs*

This is Odin our Chihuahua he's missing someone left the back door open and he wonder away
we are heartbroken and miss him desperately. he's white, young and very friendly. Odin has zero street smarts and we are very worried about him. Please if you see him respond here. Last seen July 11 2014 in Oly Wa 98506
We found him locked in a fenced yard a 30 second walk from our home. Some people.
It's been 1 month since I lost my father, 1 month since my mom lost her husband. 1 month since my son lost his Pop-Pop. 1 month since my cousins lost their 3rd uncle this year! 1 month since my Aunt's lost their brother & 1 month since the world lost an amazing man!
He had beat jaw cancer TWICE!! He always went out of his way to help people, even if it was to counsel them, through prayer & visiting ppl in the hospital or nursing homes. He was a good Christian Reformed man & was devoted to the Lord & our church. He sang in choir & The Singing Men & served as an Elder for many years.
He's also a Veteran & served over in Germany for 4 yrs in the United States Army. ❤️💙
He loved gardening, his country, his wife of 51 yrs, his children, 5 grandkids & entire family & all of his friends.
No one will ever forget my father.
Love my backyard red house finches, I have about five families, this dad however has been working double time taking care of this sweet baby that clearly has a most horrible deformity!!! I feel completely helpless because I know he can never survive with half a beak, when dad stops feeding him he will surly die of starvation. Has anyone ever seen this in baby house finches??? Would trying to capture him do any good??? Feeling heartbroken.
on tuesday, jan 12, 2010, haiti was hit by a magnitude of 7.0 earthquake... the aftermath has been extremely heartbreaking and devastating... hundreds of thousands lives lost and countless still missing...
it's hard to watch/hear/read the news without one's heart aching, feeling helpless and crying for them. i know times are still tough for many folks in this economy (and i'm sorry for asking in this tough time), but please be grateful that we are still the lucky ones, not in/affected by this devastating earthquake. so, let's reach out (be it in big or smaller ways) by donating and/or praying for them. they desperately need water, food, medical aids, shelter among other things, and the best way to get these necessities to them is by monetary donations. i've made my donations to the red cross, doctors without borders, and the clinton bush haiti funds. always make sure you're donating to trusted organizations by checking charity navigator. ...so, what were you planning to purchase today that you don't actually need? why not use that amount to help out those in desperate need right now?... ... if you're not able to donate money, please continue to keep the haitians and those helping them over there in your thoughts and prayers. thank you!!!
for donations via u.s. mobiles/cellphones:
- text HAITI to 90999 and $10 will go to the red cross haiti relief funds
(for canada, text HAITI to 45678)
- text QUAKE to 20222, $10 will go to the clinton bus haiti fund
two years ago, i did a toy adoption for red cross donations for the san diego wildfires, so i thought of doing it again this time to help out abit. same "procedures" as to how to adopt and donate (below). last time, i only ask for donations directly to the red cross, but i would also like to ask for donations to be made to "doctors without borders" this time (or if you have a preferred charity that would utilize their donated funds wisely, please feel free to send the donation there, and just show me proof of donation and your adopted toy will be sent out to you.)
(i know i'm abit late...been really busy and didn't have time to gather my toys and take pics until now...sorry)
here is how i hope it'll work again...
1. i've posted all the toys (and few new tokidoki and hello kitty makeup items) i'm donating for you to adopt in this set.. they are all from my own personal collection and i do take very good care of my toys, so they're all in excellent (or even new) condition. ^^
2. please flickrmail me which toy you wish to adopt, and you will make your donations directly through the red cross website (please click/specify it's for the "international response funds" on the donation page) or the doctors without borders website...donation amount will be the appx price i paid for the toy, and of course, any extra amount of donations are always deeply appreciated and welcomed ^^
3. please forward me the donation email confirmation that you would receive directly from red cross or doctors without borders (which will show the donated amount) and i will send out the toy to you on my own expense. (sorry i can only send via regular mail, since priority or express shipping will add up and will be too much for me and i rather donate the extra postage to the relief funds)
p.s. i'm not usually online during the day, so please be patient when sending me flickrmails about the toys adoptions. i will try my best to respond in the evenings. thanks. :)
thank you so much from the bottom of my heart, for your kindness and big heart. xxxoooxoxoxxx!!! *biggest group hugs*
have a wonderful and safe weekend, dear everyone! xoxo^^

Years ago we had a terrible drought and lost about 5 or 6 fully grown wild Dogwoods. I was heartbroken. Some of them had a faint pink color and were so beautiful. Now slowly wild Dogwoods are returning. This one I was delighted to find is blooming already though only about 6 feet tall.
I finally made it to Tioga Pass. I figured I might as well do it before they closed the road (which they did the next day) and WoW!!!! The scenery is just magnificent. I can just punch myself for not visiting sooner. I love the wide meadows bordered by gorgeous mountains. Of course, I was heartbroken when I found out that the road was closed off the next day. By the way, that curved clouds on top of Mount Dana(?) really was there.
The weather during this day started out partly cloudy then the storm clouds moved in during the afternoon. So, shot seven different exposures and combined them using photomatix. I then converted the result to black and white. I will post the colored version later.
I was a bit miffed (actually heartbroken - Mlle Jolie I need you in my life!) about not being able to get any of the Boudoir dolls... so I decided to style my own dolls in my very own Boudoir Collection! First up - Veronique! I hope you enjoy!
Last Friday the unimaginable happened in Newton, Connecticut. Having 2 young children myself...this left me heartbroken. There are no words that can describe the pain that these families must be going through. I will keep praying for all of you.
Here is a list of all the names of the victims, 20 young sweet angels (children) & 6 adults that lost their lives so horrifically. We will never forget you. :((((

there going to be broken you know, like brittle china and cracked eggshells, you could try to fix them, stick them back together with cheap glue, but the pieces wont fit back anymore they will be all uneven and wonky. Everyone is broken, some more than others, but they just wont understand that yet, still living in their little nest protected from the world, there not ready to fly and your just going to force them out that nest anyway and watch them fall .
so i guess this could be the end
i dont usually write things like this, but i needed to, for me.
