After all the festive celebrations and high calorie food intake, today I am sharing an easy kodo millet upma recipe. It is named as Varagu in Tamil, Arikelu in Telugu, Kodra in Hindi and Harka in Kannada. The health benefits of this millet is numerous and it was used in India 3000 years ago. It is very high in protein, fibre, it has low fat, so helps in weight loss and it is gluten free also. For busy mornings, this varagu arisi upma recipe can be prepared plain also without any veggies and a spoonful of sugar is enough to enjoy your breakfast. But it tastes too good with coconut chutney, tiffin sambar and onion chutney.

such a poetical title may be hard to stand and represent if you're kind of a humble throw-toghether-to-use-leftovers-up.
it could not that hardly fit the extremely elaborated creation of a famous chef, which would mean you're going to dig into a sugary, whipped cream based little calorie bomb - nothing against chefs and high-level cusine, absolutely. that's just not my kind of choice.
basically I'm against wasting food and deeply into healthy recipe developing using what even humans can have on hand in their pantry - therefore with a bunch of simple, fresh and genuine ingredients I ended up with three mini mousse-blancmange kind of dessert which don't involve any single drop of whipped cream of even any weird stuff to make them exrremely soft, airy and fresh.
simplicity is always a win. healty as well, in this case.

sometimes I like to treat myself and my little sister whipping us up a batch of pancakes - and this happens once a week, normally. mine it's a strong traditions-based family, actually.
and I keep breakfast as the most sacred and absolutely essential moment of my day, so a (healthy) daily treat is always needed.

sometimes you only want to celebrate. because you have something that is really worth waking up early and make yourself a treat, a well earned treat actually.
you start whipping up stuff, combining a few, simple ingredients that you love expecting to have a bomb of true deliciousness for breakfast.
you arrange everything carefully and nicely to shoot and fix your glorious moment for the days and months and years to come.
then you dig into that pile of thin, warm circles oozing hot blueberry sauce trying to get ready for a tasteful, sinfully decadent explosion of flavors.
and the only thing that you can think consists of one single word.
FAIL.
