What is Thalassemia?

According to the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion (NIHBT), as of 2017, Vietnam had approximately 12 million Thalassemia gene carriers (15% of the population). Or as I would like to call her drama queen.She has a very low threshold for pain and makes it very tricky to examine her. I am hoping her lameness improves with pain relief, otherwise we will need to sedate her for full workup.
