I imagine this young boy as feeling extremely happy and carefree. We all understand the therapeutic benefits of contact with water. It feels so good to take a warm shower, or to have a dip in a cool swimming pool on a hot day. This little guy is focused in on the feeling of the water striking him, splashing around him, and washing over him. And that's probably the only thing on his mind - no troubles or anxieties at that moment!

The biogas-project in the rural community of Badreni at the edge of the Chitwan National park has triple effect: for climate, forest and health. Through the Terai Arc Landscape Programme, WWF-Nepal encourages installation of biogas systems by giving information and advice, and finances a part of the cost, especially for the construction of toilets and linking them to biogas plants. The total cost for an average sized biogas plant is 20,000 Nepali rupees (US$280). Biogas is produced from cattle manure and toilet waste. Each household can produce their own biogas by installing a toilet-attached biogas plant. The technology is simple: the manure and toilet waste are mixed with water and dumped in an airtight underground pit of about 6 cubic metres. In these anaerobic conditions, methane starts forming and it is led via a narrow pipe into the gas stove in the kitchen. A valve is turned on whenever the gas is needed for cooking. The gas in itself is pure methane, clean and odourless. It burns more effectively than wood, increasing the efficiency of cooking.

Lost in the conversation of the digital health revolution is the focus on humans that often drive transformation in healthcare and that’s the medical doctor. We’ve seen doctors increasingly demoralized, depressed, and under pressure to meet mounting administrative loads while maintaining impeccable, patient-rated “healthgrades” online. The epidemic of burnout now affects almost two-thirds of America’s physicians according to a recent Medscape study. They’re frustrated by the payment systems and being pushed out by large health systems that imagine others doing their work and stripping them of authority. They spend less and less time with patients, and there’s giddy talk about how soon robots—already active in surgery and radiology—will do it all. Do we really want to imagine a world without doctors?

With us back at Inverness 26 037 partnered 40 029 to Polmadie via Aberdeen. There 27056 took us into Glasgow where 20 043 & 097 carted us around the Glasgow suburbs then 029 now with 40 090 hauled us back to Crewe via Ayr. What a trip! 40 029 carried us 943.75 miles.
