He lets me follow him around the yard and woods near our house. Last year a pair of wrens nested in the house. This year, the bluebirds got there first.

This is no ordinary fairytale but let's start this with... Once upon a time there was a princess from a kingdom far far far away. She was the princess of the sun. Her presence brightened the land, uplifted her people and brought abundant of joy. Her smile always warmed the hearts and melted souls. It was part of her routine to walk around her kingdom, checking on her people and ensure their every need was fulfilled.
One day, on her morning walk, she was tricked by a jester to take a twisted path into a dark forest. Despite the darkness, everywhere she stepped illuminated and she appeared non bothered by the difference of her surroundings.
"How can she still be smiling?" said the jester, quite annoyed observing her.
She continued walking as if she knew where she was going and this tired the Jesters's energy until the illusion of the darkness couldn't be kept up.
"Finally." she grinned to herself, reaching her destination. The field of white sunflowers that were so rare.
"I don't understand, how did you break my spell?" asked the Jester.
"I didn't do anything. You did that all by yourself by allowing hatred, harm and deceit to consume your heart."
"Impossible, all others before you have gone mad and insane."
"It's simple. Just because I couldn't see the sun, it doesn't mean he wasn't watching over me. I could still feel his warmth and that's what I followed." She explained, "I will not allow darkness to consume me, there will always be light in the end of the tunnel." She winked before collecting some flowers, offering one to the obviously annoyed Jester before heading back to her kingdom.
"Blah blah blah!" Exclaimed the Jester, eating the flower angrily in obvious defeat.
P.S. I brought a new friend to Lana and she looked gorgeous in that dress I couldn't help snapping a picture. I also decided some days ago that Lana will close on 20th February, 2022. So please feel free to visit, take some last minute photos and enjoy my little gloomy creation.

He is from an arid, desert area in India, Rajasthan. He tends his goats and sheep for most of the day and cuts small twigs and branches, which he will use to keep him warm from the biting cold at night. ( photographed with consent)
He either had a rough night or he simply didn't want to be a photo model today but Sethi hardly opened his eyes when I pointed the camera at him. I suppose it was the latter because he miraculously sprang to life again when I opened a can of his favourite food ...
He perched in the sun, took a nap and posed for us for at least 5 minutes.

He came in to feed on my Oregon Grape Berries. The female was in the tree and he was feeding her. I hope I can get a picture of that. The evening setting sun is coming in creating the bokeh.
He is handsome and he is the alpha male of the boer goats at a local park, the one who rules the roost. This goat is quite a character but very friendly too and he LOVES visitors.

The Little Owl is not a native species, having been introduced to Britain in the 1870s, but it appears to have occupied a vacant niche without having any detrimental impact on other species. Numbers and breeding distribution increased gradually, reaching an estimated breeding population of between 4,000 and 8,500 pairs at the time of Project Barn Owl. The current distribution extends across England, north to the Scottish borders and west into Wales, where it is largely confined to Anglesey and to eastern parts of the country. There have been very few records from Ireland.
Pairs remain on their breeding territories throughout the year, with territorial calling evident during autumn – when young birds are searching for breeding territories – and again during spring. Small cavities are favoured for breeding, these often located within hedgerow trees or the walls of old agricultural buildings. Favoured nesting chambers tend to be located some distance from the cavity entrance and with little daylight reaching them. The male will often perch close to the nest cavity while his mate is incubating her clutch of eggs.
Little Owls often hunt from a perch, taking small mammals and large invertebrates, including earthworms, cockchafers and other beetles. There is evidence to suggest that breeding success is linked to the availability of small mammals, though some pairs evidently do well on other prey; a pair breeding on the island of Skomer, for example, took a large number of Storm Petrels (Courtesy BTO).
