We hated to cut off his long hair, but this week he will be going out to the farm with Joe. He would have been one big cocklebur with all the hair. We still have some work to do on his doo...but he was tired of being on the table so we let him have a break till after Christmas. He's gone from Blue Willow glamour guy to sporty dog.

This Hawkeye model was made from 1913 onwards, and was largely made from compressed cardboard, and covered in leatherette. It takes 6 x 9cm photographs on 120 roll film, and gives a shutter speed of around 1/30th sec.
I,ve yet to try it out, but it still makes a nice stablemate, sitting alongside my other box cameras.

The highest point in Iowa, at 1670 feet above sea level, is ocated just east of Iowa Hwy 60 in northern Osceola County. This was the 17th high point that I have "ascended".
Without the close up attachment, I moved the whole grocery bag forward and backward until I could clearly read the book titles and then took my measurement from the books to my lens. For just the reversed lens (no attachment) my camera focal distance is about 2' - 2.5' feet.
This is the 7th image in a SET which is a tutorial on how to determine the focal distance on a Brownie Hawkeye Flash camera with a reversed lens:
