The Grumman E-2 Hawkeye is an American all-weather, aircraft carrier-based tactical Airborne Early Warning (AEW) aircraft. The twin turboprop aircraft was designed and developed in the 1950s by Grumman for the United States Navy as a replacement for the E-1 Tracer. The United States Navy aircraft has been progressively updated with the latest variant, the E-2D, first flying in 2007. Small numbers are also operated by other countries, the largest foreign operator is Japan.
The aircraft was nicknamed Super Fudd because it replaced Willy Fudd (the E-1 Tracer). In the present day, it is most commonly nicknamed the Hummer due to the distinctive sound of its twin turboprop engines.

A Kodak Hawkeye Ace camera make in England by Kodak in about 1930. The body of the camera is made of cardboard and considering it’s nearly 90 years old, it’s in excellent condition. Unfortunately I can’t try it out as it uses 127 film which is now obsolete.

It was good to get my old Rebel XT back. I love shooting with that camera. Granted, I used it to take a photo of my Brownie Hawkeye I just got.
The University of Iowa baseball team has had a good season, with a 39-16 record and nationally ranked. We were in Minneapolis and caught one of their games in the Big Ten tournament, which unfortunately wasn't so good as they lost to Indiana 10-2.

Sailors perform preflight inspections on an E-2C Hawkeye, assigned to the "Wallbangers" of Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 117, on the flight deck of the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group (CSG) is participating in an Expeditionary Strike Force (ESF) exercise with the Essex Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG).
