Before I learned of Holgas I spent some time trying to see what kind of moodiness and atmosphere I could get out of my mother's old Brownie Hawkeye camera. In this example, I rubber-banded a red filter on the front and shot Tri-X at about 1600.

Spotted this hawk in a tree at Natural Resources Trust's Sheep Pasture in N. Easton, Massachusetts. He seemed to be considering whether or not I was his next meal!

Part of an Avengers cosplay group I ran into at Artists' Alley. Nice "Rule 63" renditions of Black Widow(er) - the cosplayer was very pleased that I got his title correct on the first try - and Hawkeye. Yeah, there's a canonical female Hawkeye but these two were definitely dressed up as the movie characters not the comic ones.

Advice for any Hawkeye users out there: some can use 120 film pretty unmodified. This one just needs an empty 620 spool for the takeup spool, and it's good to go.

ATLANTIC OCEAN (Aug. 23, 2017) A Northrop Grumman E-2D "Hawkeye" early warning and attack aircraft assigned to the “Seahawks” of Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 126 prepares to launch from the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. I set up a make-shift studio with a backdrop I painted in a quonset hut at LSU where the annual livestock show and rodeo was going on. I walked around looking for interesting folks and asked them to come in and pose. It made for a diverse set of portraits, some I shot with a Hasselblad borrowed from a co-worker, and some done with 35.

The day I shot Monty "Hawkeye" Henson, one of the top saddle bronc riders of that time, my daughters were there so I made this shot for my ownself.
